Very nice place, indeed. I stayed there once in autumn and now recently and both cases I had a feeling the place cares for you. Special thanks to Andrea who always was ready to tell about the vicinity, best restaurants (and he was right), weather forecast etc. The breakfast was so good that - ok, I should now admit -...

Dear Daniela Z, Thank you very very much for your excellent review. I remember very well your stay here in Hotel Aurora. It was nice to give you some tips of the area and to show you a different atmosphere of Rilke Path. We like to spoil our guests and we like very much when they recognise it. :-) The...

We really enjoyed our stay in Aurora hotel- place with great location, nice rooms and surroundings, excellent service, very tasty breakfast. Hotel is not too big, but kept with care and love, cozy, tidy, furbished with good taste. Special love goes to breakfast - since in days with long program it is main power until the dinner:) Hotel manager gave...

I will admit that I had no good reason for being a reluctant visitor to Italy. But life circumstances dictate that some things must happen and I could not be more impressed. The hotel is small and clean and some rooms do share a bath. Andrea, the manager and owner, handled all of my needs effortlessly. He and his staff...

Dear Rich L, I am happy you changed your mind about Italy and expecially about Duino. We like your comment very much because it gives the feeling that our hospitality pushed away any negative concern you had about your Italian experience. It is always nice to receive rewards and on this occasion thank you for highlighting we went above and...

I stayed in this charming yet small hotel for only 1 night, but enjoyed the location and the room very much. We booked a shared bathroom, but were the only ones using it. The room itself is comfy and seemed newly renovated. The hotel is small, so staircases and the 1st floor itself is narrow, but we could feel the...

We were two couples travelling so having two rooms but with a shared bathroom was ok. The rooms were small but were furnished with great space saving ideas, for example, the free-standing mirror that, when swivelled, had storage on the back of it. Breakfast was $6 euros per person and was well worth it - coffee, tea, milk, juice, yogurt,...

As a travel writer, I spend four months a year on the road. And there are some hotels I keep coming back to. Aurora is one. A lovely family-run guesthouse with some wonderfully quirky touches (antique suitcases everywhere!), Aurora feels like something out of an Agatha Christie novel: a pensione of ages past. The breakfast, though pricey, is marvelous, and...

I liked very much that the hotel is located on a local slow traffic street (mostly walking) that head to the little town square. The hotel is very easily accessible by car and offers a private park area outdoors opposite to the entrance. We booked via the hotel website and received a complementary bottle of wine on arrival -very nice....

Very Kind and friendly host. The interiour has recently been renovated. Even more renovations are planned. Not all rooms have bathrooms. Ours (room number 6) had one. Unfortunatelly there are sometimes not enough tables in the launch for breakfast. Taking everthing into account the house devinitelly is more than two stars only.

Very good and friendly service. A quiet place with clean and comfortable rooms with good wifi connections. Breakfast was good, there was a wide choice of food and beverages, in a nice setting. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to stay in the Duino area.
