The Hotel Niedersachsen is located in the middle of the city of Westerland and only 100m from the famous beach. The reconstruction was based on a contemporary ecological foundation. The outstanding outside is given from curved lines and a larch wood facade which fits perfectly into the landscape. The Hotel Niedersachsen is located in the middle of the city of Westerland and only 100m from the famous beach. The reconstruction was based on a contemporary ecological foundation. The outstanding outside is given from curved lines and a larch wood facade which fits perfectly into the landscape. All 30 rooms, suites and apartments are in a Nordic and modern design, which gives the house a warm and welcoming feeling. All rooms are equipped with state of the art technic (DSL connection, flat screen TV, ISDN telephone). Every room provides a safe and a hair dryer. Based on the ecological architecture we avoid to use wifi and offer the internet cable at the reception. The breakfast is based on bio product and is served I the breakfast club which is full of daylight as it is surrounded by windows and allows the sun to shine in and to sit outside in the summertime. The 12 suites offer very modern and comfortable interior with more space and designer bathrooms. You might choose between an ocean panorama or a quite garden view. You will enjoy the nice architecture and the view!
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
If Sylt again, then 100% to the Hotel Niedersachsen!
You had me for originally 6 days, then extended to 7 days, "rented" in the beautiful, small & down to earth 3 star Hotel Niedersachsen in Westerland on Sylt.
Nice welcome, respectful treatment of the guest, clean room, here much or (almost) everything is right!
The concept or signature of the hotel is clear and obvious. Sustainability is recognisable throughout. Starting with the utensils, the room itself, a central refrigerator for cold drinks in the reception room etc.
There is a room with board games as well as a TV room (for football lovers). Furthermore, both unfortunately not used, a Bodgia/Boule place and a sauna, both I would have liked to use but in the end could not manage.
The location of the hotel perfect, on the edge of the pedestrian zone and only 35-40 minutes walk from the airport. I felt super comfortable and with all the exuberantly positive points only two small complaints: on the one hand the price, certainly everywhere high at the beginning of July and the beginning of the holiday season especially as an individual as everywhere. I had paid just under 1,200€ for a week (167€/night incl. breakfast). On the other hand, individual (double) bad luck my room No.11. As experienced elsewhere, as an individual, usually one of the rooms in each hotel is located directly above the kitchen, in this hotel No.11. So I was awake without an alarm clock every morning at 06.30 because breakfast was being prepared and the work was running at full speed one floor below me. On the next visit I would directly wish any EZ, just not No.11, because the rest and recovery factor was so de facto -1h/night (06.30 awake instead of alarm clock time 07.30).
Small points that slightly reduce the otherwise 5 point rating to 4.
Outstanding was the sensational, daily changing breakfast buffet which dwarfs any good 4 star hotel as well as the great and lovely staff. Thank you for the great holiday!

The hotel is the only modern hotel built entirely of wood on Sylt. Still in private hands. The boss lives in Berlin; but appears regularly on site and does not miss taking care of his guests personally. In short: Everything is actually right here: Location diagonally behind the Hotel Miramar, short walk to the beach, clean, functional rooms and very courteous staff; including the friendly housewife, Mrs. Rakers. We would particularly like to highlight the individually offered great breakfast! By the way: the value for money fits!
We would love to come back!

We visited this place during a trip across Germany, from the Swiss border to Sylt. Because of the Covit-19 situation more people visit Sylt than usually around this time. The room was big and friendly. The hotel took the Covit-19 measures very seriously. As a guest you have to pre-order the breakfast in detail. In the dining room you get a tablet including all the things you ordered. I have to say this is probably the best Breakfast I ever had in a German hotel. They should keep this after Corona. We enjoyed the stay in this small hotel. Something negative: The WLAN is a joke. They use the TV set as router. The TV is always running when you use your tablet or phone.

The hotel has an excellent location, the service is extremely relaxed and friendly. The rooms are modern and really very cozy. Breakfast is great. We will come back. The whole concept is coherent, everything is very well thought out.

Hotel Niedersachsen is a modern new hotel located walking distance from the beach. Breakfast is superb, loved the fresh shrimp every morning and the German chocolate bars! Your entry cards for the beach (yes you need to pay entry for the beach here, but hey its very clean!) will be arranged by the reception. Overall a good pick if you like to stay close to town and beach.

A clean, modern, well-thought and environmentally friendly hotel with top quality breakfast and good choices of organic food and refreshments. Unlike those hotels under big chains, service here is personal, friendly and attentive. (They even remembered what you were looking for but couldn't get yesterday, and prepared it extra for you the next morning. Amazing!!) An entire family of 10, aged 10 to 90, all happy. Highly recommended.
