The kitchen has unfortunately not been further developed, the menu reads like it did in the 60s/70s and the herbs and spices are pepper, salt, spring onions everywhere and that's it.
The expensive dinner is then eaten in the breakfast room, which doesn't really create a good atmosphere. There are so many great little restaurants nearby where you can sit much nicer and get much more enjoyment on your plate

The carpets are good, but don't necessarily meet hygienic standards.
The toilet should be installed higher. That's also standard these days!
As I was the only guest for 3 days of a 4-night stay, which was absolutely not what I expected, the sauna wasn't heated up even when I registered!
That's a no-go!
The absolute bright spot was the extremely lovely Greek woman who prepared a really good and, above all, fresh breakfast for me every morning!

It was heavenly. There is nothing snobby or stuck-up about the place or it's hosts, despite the luxury and price tag. The rooms were divine, felt like home (except better), with decor that reminded me of the Hamptons. Every home comfort was provided, from fluffy dressing gowns to fruit bowls.
As you would expect, the restaurant where we had evening meals and breakfasts is absolutely 5 star, but more impressively, the service was unpretentious. We felt completely relaxed and unintimidated.
Combined with beautiful landscapes and fresh Sylt weather, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
