I am not sorry we stayed here, but I am not sure what the need would be to stay in this location. In this case, I booked the hotel thinking it was just on the river across from Melk. I was wrong, and I guess I got confused. It wasn't that far from Melk, but was in a village that...

Our waiter told us that no, he couldn't give us the code for the wifi - hotel policy was that was made available only to guests who overnighted at the hotel. We've never previously struck such an unfriendly policy and were so offended we left immediately. Management accepted our payment for drinks even though we hadn't touched them. The hotel...

Charming Hotel and Restaurant in the heard of Artstetten (close to Pöchlarn). Dogfriendly, non smoker rooms. Less tourists - not so optimal for kids (no child friendly offers). We did a hikingtrip from Artstetten to Maria Taferl (a pilgrimage), on the legendary "Way of St. James". We took the long way (3 - 4 hours). It's a great walk for...

They are wonderful people, kind and friendly. The hotel is very clean and situated in a small town in the...

This hotel is located in the Danube valley, in the Artstetten village where is buried Franz Ferdinand, whose killing in Sarajevo triggered the first World War. Close to this place: the medieval village of Durnstein and the magnificent abbey of Melk (buildings, library and gardens are splendid). The room in the hotel was spacious and clean. Wifi works better in...

We loved this one! The hotel, rooms, village and staff were all excellent. Run by a kind, helpful, warm and friendly family. The location is scenic and lovely, located a short distance ffrom the Danube, Arstetteen Castle, and the Melk Abbey. It really was a perfect place to say. The breakfast was generous and delicious, as was the wine, beer...
