This was an excellent stay; my wife and I were on a last minutes business trip. From the moment we called reservations, we met with kindness and consideration. The Reservations Clerk bent over backwards to get us a room where we could stay two nights. We were welcomed nicely after walking up the hill dragging our bags behind us; got...

So happy we chose to stay here ! Great location , clean, comfy, professional friendly staff, great breakfast, nibbles in the afternoon(wine and cheese and veggies and chips - don't miss this !). We saw that there was an empty room with an ocean view so we asked to upgrade and they accommodated us very fairly. What a view !...

I was on Block Island as part of a knitting retreat. I stayed in the Manisses but had breakfast and 1 dinner in the sister hotel the 1661. We ate lunch and had classes in the Manisses. Food was good and plenty of it. The hotel is quite old but well maintained. My room was quite large and very comfortable....

First time visit to Block Island, it was a great experience in April! The 1661 Inn was a delight with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our room was very clean, a nice Jacuzzi tub and sun deck along with a very comfortable bed. The other guests at the Inn were all very nice people, you can judge an Inn...

We stayed in 2 newly renovated rooms, Deering and Barker. I was a bit concerned that the "new" feel would take away from the Inn's charm, but we were both pleasantly surprised. The spa tub and the phenomenal new tiled walk-in showers are elegant. The Victorian furnishings are gone, but the new furniture is casual and fits the island theme....

Due to a mix-up, the modest room I had reserved was unavailable. To accommodate my needs, without hesitation, the proprietor upgraded me to the most impressive lodging I have ever experienced. Bravo to Rita and her excellent, thoughtful staff. Well done. PS The included breakfast buffet was superb. Thank you.

We have been coming to B. Island for over 40 years and the last 8 have been staying at the Manisses. We recently stayed at the Dodge Cottage , off season on Manisses' dollars and as always had a great time. The facilities are always clean and very comfortable. We especially wanted to commend and praise Rita Draper for accommodating...

Beautiful room, friendly staff and a great ocean view. Throw in a wonderful complimentary breakfast buffet and how could you go wrong! I know there were other guests, including children, but we never heard a sound from our room.

My husband and I stayed at the 1661several years ago and enjoyed it then, but now, with the newly refurbished rooms it is really special. Our first floor room had a wonderful view of the water. Clearly, the staff's goal was to be welcoming make our stay comfortable. Breakfast alone can make the stay a must!!

I loved the quiet beautifully located Inn close to town but away from town. The rooms are comfortable cozy and each unique and differently decorated and styled. The staff is wonderful friendly and efficient. I couldn't recomend a place to enjoy Block Island more enthusiastically
