Staying at Gargia Fjellstue was an amazing decision. It was the key to having a great experience. Location is a dream, next to the forest. And the facilities are very well taken care of, clean, and super cosy. The staff is incredible, super friendly and just lovely. They accommodated all our dietary requirements (vegan diet) easily, and the food was...

This is a very special place with an amazing staff. Although it sounds cliche, it truly was a home away from home. I travelled with two of my friends who are vegan. They did everything to make sure they were able to eat well (including going to the grocery store and buying them vegan milk and yoghurt!). Don't miss the...

Great staff, very quiet and dark, ideal location for northern lights viewing ! Beds are awesome. Try the Jacuzzi !!! This place is remote, so rent a car or arrange a pick-up or taxi costs will add up.

We stayed here for one night, would have stayed longer if we could have. Beautiful setting, if you want peace and a true taste of nature. The Lodge is comfy and home from home, our room was spotlessly clean and really warm. Had a great dinner at the Lodge, and good wine, our host is brilliant, she is very witty and...

This lodge is great. The staff are really friendly and fitted us in last minute, arranged transfer, room, dinner and snow mobiling. The food was lovely and catered for vegetarians/allergies. The cabins are typical Nordic wooden cabins and are decorated nicely. The rooms and en suite are really clean. We went for a walk in the forest next to the lodge...

This place is about a half hour into the mountains from Alta. A shuttle service is available if pre booked from Alta and will cost you £30 each way for two. The setup is a communal dining area & set meals if you wish or if you have a cabin set across the road you'll have cooking facilities but be...

The cabins are modern with en suite bath rooms and nice furnishings. To operate the thermostats one has to open the door to assure that the temperature of the room is as desired. The room that we had was large and pleasant. Knotty pine walls, a large window, a huge bathroom but towels and pillows were not so large. The...

After much research and on the basis of positive reviews I made a reservation via hotels.com to stay here for a few days in December. The reservation was confirmed online and I then arranged my flights to Norway and my internal flights between Alta and Oslo. The next day I received an email from hotels.com to say that the reservation...

My fifth time at this wonderful little place. Very comfortable rooms with great bedding. Nice staff that wants to make you comfortable. Engaged owner that takes care of her place and employees. One of my favorite places in the north. We also had dinner. Reindeer stew and salmon. Wonderful. And the breakfast is equal to any hotel.

As motorbike traveller, I am looking for places at the outskirts of towns or in the nature, not far from main roads. And this is exactly such place. Nice, quiet, isolated... Sølvi and Vanessa are nice and very helpfull (we had unpleasant experience with SAS airline), they helped us, saved our vacation as well as the rest of staff there....
