Went on a visit there today. Wow -14 outside -4 inside. Great ice carvings. The ice bedrooms and suites look fantastic but if you need the toilet you have to go to the main hotel. The ice chapel is very beautiful and can be used for weddings Dec to Mar. The ice bar inside is cool with a free drink...

We had an amazing stay at the ice hotel! It is a wonderfull experience and a must see. We received a warm welcome, good explanation of the place, and all we needed for a great stay. A drink at the ice bar, great food at the restaurant and tea around the fireplace. We loved every minutes of it!

Amazing stay here, the hotel is truly a life time memory, it's been on our bucket, really better than what we dreamed it would be, Not to be missed. Beautiful setting, on the river, which was frozen on our stay, great staff and really friendly, fantastic Lodge and restaurant. Nothing to fault only praise. Icing on the cake for us...

We stayed here in mid January amidst some of the heaviest snowfall in years which made the stay all the more exciting. This family run hotel is set in a beautiful location next to the river away from the city. The facilities were great with excellent food, warm areas to relax and the ice hotel itself is mind-blowing. Fantastic staff...

My husband and I, and our 6.5 year old daughter stayed here for 1 night last month. We had one of the snow rooms. 8 years ago, my husband and I visited the ice hotel in Kiruna, Sweden which was much much bigger than this one. But this one has a nice, intimate feel to it. We felt like we...

I got this as a present for my 30 th birthday. It was a very fun experience. We are from Norway and we usually travel outside Norway, but this was a very nice way to see more of Norway. We stayed at the hotel for only one night, but I think what is enough to get the experience as well...

If you have the money you must do this. Incredibly, in the whole hotel we were the only couple. As you walk in it's absolutely incredible, the colours, intricate detail and atmosphere can't be put into words. I won't bother describing the details as you must see this for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed. The receptionist was excellent as...

It is unique experience, but rather to enjoy once. So don’t plan to spend more than a night there. The logistic is easier than you can expect. You leave your luggage in the main, “warm” building. There is a lot of space in the bathroom to change into the thermal clothes and you can proceed to your room. Plan to...

We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon in December 2016, it was an absolutely magical experience! We had a suite in the ice hotel and I would suggest looking into this as the majority of the rooms seemed to be twin singles. Everyone asks how we slept in the cold...the answer layer up and you will be fine!...

Sorrisniva is a bucket list item in itself. A hotel made fully of ice. Your room is of ice, your bed is of ice and that's what you sleep on. Obv, there is reindeer skin and warm sleeping bags to make you comfortable and there is a warm building too. But set on the banks of Alta river, which is...
