This is a great hotel to stay when you have a early flight. It is just a short walk away from the airport. It has great service and food. I am a vegan and it also had great choice for vegan food. It is nice and quiet place to stay and get rest for your early flight and then just walk to the airport. It also has gym and sauna to relax.
Helsinki Airport is complete chaos for years already (since 2017-18, I guess) - and one never knows which route to take after claiming one's baggage to reach a taxi, airport hotel or anything else that matters. Hilton Helsinki Airport is still relatively easy to find despite the never-ending makeover of Helsinki Airport and the number of labyrinths since 2018 that still seem to be there - believe me, these have been quite a few in the past 4 years!. Still, quite easy to find and in July 2021, having stayed here three times already, this stay sums up all our visits as of July 2021: warm and approachable staff, clean rooms with wooden floors, and a solid Hilton experience in general. Our stay 31st July is no exception: very welcoming check-in, clean & functional room for plane spotting (#402) that we specifically booked for this stay as well as the general feel of Hilton quality. Nothing special, nothing less, but still a solid product that make us come back year after year. Thank you.…
This is easy to find and only 200m away from they arrivals at Helsinki airport. The breakfast is excellent and executive lounge offers nice snack from 6-8 pm. This hotel has also sauna to enjoy. Restaurant is good. I have been here several times and gladly return every time.
I reserved my stay in Hilton Helsinki Airport Hotel through Hilton website. My stay was 25-30/05/22 in a King plus room with breakfast. Many people stay at a airport hotel usually just for one night for their flight or further travel next day. I found it easy though to take the train from the airport to Helsinki centre. Check in was easy, friendly and very professional. My room was very spacious, clean and big bathroom with a little sauna, which I enjoyed every night. Breakfast/Dinner room was spacious and clean. Breakfast itself was plentiful and more than enough to choose from, maybe not everybody's taste but kept me happy. I had dinner two evenings in the hotel restaurant . One night I chose the reindeer fillet steak, and wow, that was exceptional, it almost melted in my mouth (of course always matter of personal taste). Bar was good and friendly, didn't use it very much. Then last but not the least, The Staff, exceptional!! Couldn't praise them enough, THEY made my stay very enjoyable! Reception, staff always ready to serve with a smile and answer any question I had. Restaurant, staff helpful and ready to serve with a smile, they knew well what they were serving and even gave me some info what wine to choose with my meal. Cleaner lady, very friendly and had time to chat with me. Altogether, fantastic stay, looking forward to my next trip to Finland and hoping to stay at Airport Hilton.…
This hotel is a really good value for the cost. The front desk staff was really friendly, the rooms were nice, the executive lounge was good, and the staff in there was very friendly as well. The restaurant was nice, expensive but you would expect that for a Hilton. It was about a 10 minute walk to the airport from the hotel due to the construction around the airport. What was really nice is that they offer a "early breakfast" starting at 3:30. So if you don't have a chance to get the full breakfast at 6 you can at least get some food before your flight.
Nice rooms and very attentive service. No long queues. In the Restaurant you will get a good variaty of courses and drinks. I will give 5th star, when there will be another music in the restaurant area. For me it is by far too free-jazz like, Which can be stressic...
Good hotel, directly at the airport. From arrival hall to the hotel calculate 15 min. walk. The same back to check in. You can use a trolley, it is free of charge. Hotel typical for Hilton. Clean rooms, breakfast with a huge options for each guest. Fast service. Only dinner ist rate 3. Very expensive and small servings.
For my long overnight layover at HEL, there are several different options that one can select for. I selected for the Hilton as the price and location was the best option among the different hotels close to the airport. Location The airport is located about 10-15 mins walk from T2 arrivals/exit. As you land into HEL and taxi towards the main terminal building, the property is normally seen from the tarmac area of the airport. Walking to the property does involve walking outside in the open air and due to some minor construction work ongoing, there route is not always following designated walkways. As expected there is not much around the are except for office buildings and another airport hotel. For those who do not want to eat at the hotel or prefers something else, than the different shops and eateries in the airport itself is your friend. Check In I did receive an initial notification that I was upgraded to an King Executive in the app. Did not bother to do the digital check-in as I knew I would still have to drop by the front desk. I arrived around 2130 and the check-in area was surprisingly quite busy. Thanks to multiple staff working, I did not have to wait long, within 5 mins I was called to the next available agent. I was recognized for my status and given a run down of the different benefits and amenities of the hotel. I did ask nicely if there was a possibility for another level of upgrade to the Executive Plus rooms, and this was granted nicely after the agent checked for availability and the plus side it came with an airport view. The executive lounge at the property is opened, but since I arrived after the cocktail hours, I sadly did not experience nor can report on the offerings. Although it is open for the rest of the night for hot drinks and the usual snacks (peanuts, biscuits, etc). Room The room was situated on the 5th floor of the building which is one of the highest floor of the property on one of the 2 separated buildings which made up the hotel. The room was rather spacious and although not the most modern interior, every thing was in good condition and working. The bathroom was located to the left of the hallway as you enter the room. This opened up into a main room with a sofa set and coffee table. There was a working desk and sufficient wardrobe space. The bed unit was surrounded by a fixed cabinet. The tea/coffee making facility was situated within the wardrobe unit. The minibar under the tea/coffee making kettle was under this shelf. Internet was stable and sufficiently fast. TV channels were the usual mix of local and international options. The TV was on a standalone TV stand which the user can self adjust the position of the TV itself or the whole stand. The climate control was good and at low fan speed, made hardly any noise - I did turn it off before going to bed since I felt that without it on, the room temperature was still ok for me. Sleep quality was good - with hardly any noise from either exterior nor interior. Even though the room faced the airport, the noise isolation was very good - as no disturbance at all from the landing/taking off planes. The bed was also not too hard nor too soft. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, bathtub and the advantage of the plus category is your own private sauna. The shower pressure and temperature control was good - although did take a while before the water heated up. Other than that the toiletries was the usual Crabtree and Evelyn products. The bathroom size was ok. The sauna was nice to use, although it did take some time to heat up. When it was well heated, it worked really well - with a wooden water bucket and ladle provided to create the steam. All in all, the room was very well appointed. Executive Lounge The executive lounge was open from 800 -2200 (If I remember correctly) - breakfast is served in the main restaurant, and evening cocktail hours are from 1700-2000. Outside of these hours eligible guests can drop in for soft drinks or hot drinks and small snacks. The lounge area seems quite large with different sections - consisting of small dining tables and smaller sofas/chairs. Breakfast Breakfast is served in the main restaurant buffet style. The restaurant was very large, so I would not expect any issues even at peak hours. There was more than sufficient variety of cold and hot options - with some local delicacy like reindeer meat balls, salmon, etc Service was friendly and efficient. There is possibility to also have some additional for eggs to order. Overall All in all, a good stay at the property with some good recognition on benefits for Elite members. Staff were friendly and helpful. For Finnish hotel standard, I found the price to be reasonable for the conveneince and standard of quality provided. Will surely stay at the property the next time if I need again another overnight at HEL for such short layovers.…
A very nice hotel with great location, service and a delicious restaurant. It’s 3 mins walk to the terminal, no need for a shuttle. Pumpkin soup and lamb tartar were some of the best I’ve ever tried. I wish there will more amenities in the room such as a shoehorn or body lotion and cotton pads. Otherwise, it’s a fair 5/5. Price of €129 was also very reasonable for an airport Hilton
Stayed one night in a twin room at Executive level (level 5) before my flight. There have been a lot of changes and renovation at Helsinki-Vantaa airport and the new extended Terminal 2 is even closer to the hotel as it used to be as is the new bus-terminal area. There are more competition at the hotel-business in the airport area, but Hilton is still the best even though the rooms do need some renovation in the years to come. Pros: + Close to airport + Good quality of sleep (beds, aircon, curtains, and noise level down) + Decent gym and sauna (elevator one, basement level) + Good parking hall P5 close enough + New T2-extention brought many new possibilities for eating, shop that you can use while staying at the hotel + Good breakfast (and even limited early breakfast available from 4? am) + Exec lounge with coffees, drinks, and canapees Cons: - Rooms have started little to wear out - Breakfast juices have been downgraded :-( - Be aware if your breakfast is included in the room price or not (normally in Finland you get the breakfast, but not allways here...) - Food at Exec lounge is very limited - Parking at hotel is expensive 28 eur / day - No good rooms with runway view All in all still the best hotel at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport…
