Simple room but all you need, hard bed but you can survive. Had room on fourth floor. Breakfast is so so, lacks more choice but nordic style. Coffea is not the greatest but got used to it. HItel is well located and quick and easy check in and check out.
Stayed 2 weeks to visit family. Able to walk to their home and it's right next to train station. Accomodations were very nice in superior twin room. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Free buffet breakfast every morning. Amarillo restaurant on site was very good also. Bought S- card and earned points/euros per day to use in restaurant. Also discounted price for underground parking . Well worth it for a long stay.
I was traveling from Rovaniemi to Vantaa and at first I was to stay at my family members place. I couldn't go there because my family member was in quarantine so I had to book a hotel room for myself at short notice. It was about 12 am when I got to the hotel. I called there before I got there. The reception staff was lovely and even though I booked the hotel room at midnight everything worked out perfectly. I got a room for myself on the 6th floor and it was amazing. I had two beds, a bathtub and a balcony. Everything was perfect. I even decided to stay another night there. The reception staff was so kind and the breakfast was so good. Beds were lovely, pillows too and I can't actually find anything to complain about. If you need a room for you on short notice, this is the one for you!…
I spent a weekend at Sokos Hotel Vantaa with an old friend, we were celebrating our birthdays and also attended Tikkurila Festivaali parties. We had an amazing time and everything went super smoothly. We got our early check-in as well as a late check-out. The hotel provided us with a small surprise as well due to our celebrations. We booked a standard room and I was pleasantly surprised as it was nice, cool, comfortable and had all the amenities necessary, such as lotions, iron, minibar, hair dryer etc. Also, I particularly enjoyed the fact that they booked an actual breakfast time for each hotel guest, this way any rush hours were avoided and there were only maybe ten people having breakfast at the same time with us so the social distancing was super easy. Breakfast was good and special thanks to the fact that also gluten-free options were available. We were very pleased and would happily return to stay at the hotel, the best part was certainly the great service they provided with us. Thanks again!…
We spent the night before our early journey. When we arrved there was a small, but a happy surprise...Runebergs cake. Room and service was sokos hotel quality. Nice bed quaranteed quality dreams. Happy and skilled service left a nice memory. I recommend and we’ll come again.
The hotel was a bit confusing, it had several bars inside that made it feel a lot like a cruise ship that sail between Finland and Sweden. Reception staff was very nice and the rooms was ok. Breakfast was the normal kind, as in several chains, nothing innovative. Hotel itself is starting to bee a bit old, some refurbishment would be nice. Location is very close to a train station that will take you to the city and also close to the airport so in that case it might compensate for the little bit to the old feeling
Most of rooms are old, very dark and depressing. Also very noisy. Some of them smell (scents from kitchen). Equipment (e.g. iron desk) are worn out). Breakfasts are boring and after two days you get nothing to select. Service is pleasant and helpful. Hotel is located very close to the train station.
The room was clean, with a comfy bed, TV, good bathroom. The bed a large and comfy, but seemed to take up all of the floor space. The breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about. You get the same kind of food on the ferries. For an overnight stay, it was ok, but it would be hard to be stuck in there for a day if the weather was bad.
Regarding this hotel i have baffling opinion, this hotel has every thing you need for short stay. I have overnight stay in hotel and room was clean, front desk was very helpful and approaching, but this hotel need to be renovated - refurbished. Breakfast was in restaurant- bar on 2 floor, food offer was nice, but ambient was like you having breakfast in disco after long night party :) . There is a bar who work all night and it is a kind very good thing if you want to have couple of drinks. Overall my experience this is hotel with good potential but it need to be refurbished,
This not so pretty from the outside looking hotel is located near Tikkurila railway station. We booked one of the newly refurbished theme rooms. They are called SuperiorX King rooms. The bed was probably one of the widest where we have ever slept. We were lucky to get the FINAVIA room which is located on the top 6th floor. The decor was fresh except the small bathroom which was probably in the original condition. The biggest problem was the missing writing desk although there would have been plenty of space to have it. The breakfast is served in a dark nightclub. The food selection was the usual Sokos Hotel and again the awful bread rolls. We booked the room from a summer sale for 94 euros. So our stay had good value.
