Perfect place to stay and relax and explore Daintree. Take the family room, it's spaceous and perfect! Very nice hosts (Gaia!). Very recommendable. Book your tours at the B&B, horse riding is perfect to start with. Nothing more to say.....

I stayed for a couple of nights and it was one of the highlights of my trip. It is a really great little B&B in the most idyllic setting, it is the best way to experience the rainforest! Matt was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me lots of good tips on places to visit during my stay. He had...

I came to Epiphyte in July with my parents, and enjoyed the most wonderful stay ever! If you are looking for an impersonal, large and decadent place with faceless staff and mass-produced surroundings Epiphyte is not your destination! In stead, the homely feel of the B&B, the fascinating interaction between various travellers, the beauty of the rainforest right on your...

We stayed two nights at the epiphyte and regretted we had to leave. The place is fabulous. It is located on a hill, in the forest, with a great view over the mountains. We stayed in the cabin, a beautiful chalet with bedroom, a spacious bathroom and an outdoor kitchen. It was very quiet with only the wind in the...

My wife and I could not have been more happy with our stay at the Epiphyte. The location is a bit secluded and away from town (what passes for a town in the Daintree, anyway). The room was very nice, with a sliding door and window that we kept open all day to let the breeze cool the room for...

My wife and I stayed at Epiphyte two nights as part of a side trip from a diving vacation in Cairns. Matt and his assistant took good care of us. This place is one-of-a-kind. It's off the grid and uses rainwater and electricity from the solar power. The breakfasts each morning were a fantastic array of eight to ten tropical...

Two superb nights with Matt proving to be an attentive, knowledgable and entertaining host. My grown up daughter and her hubby, who had just spent 5 weeks travelling in India, described The Epiphyte as the type of place they'd envisaged staying at in India (but it didn't exist there) "like a grown-up hostel". Just a wonderful, memory creating location and...

It was the best place where we stay along our trip in North Queensland ! We've stayed 3 nights in the Orchid Retreat and it was magical. You feel like at home with a tropical environment and the owner Matt is a great person ! He cares a lot about environment in order to preserve this paradise untouched. With his...

First time staying at a bed and breakfast. My partner and I weren't completely sure what to expect, and stocked up on a few items for lunch, snacks and dinner meals and figured we would most likely eat out while exploring the Daintree Forest. Worked out very well. My partner and I really enjoyed learning about the area and its...
