Lovely 2 night stay at the George Inn. A friendly greeting from Charles, who seems to do nearly everything apart from cook, showing us round one of the 2 rooms in the little annexe. Clean, warm and comfortable, with little touches like dressing gowns, slippers, sherry and grapes to make you feel valued. We chose the inn as it saved...

From the decanter of sherry in the bedroom to the high quality linen in the en suite the attention to detail was unsurpassed. The breakfast was superb, beautifully cooked and presented. We had dinner on two nights and were very impressed with the quality of the home cooking and the service. The bar and dining area were warm, cosy and...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of November. Arrived, with the temperature outside at -2 degrees C, to a lovely, comfortable and warm room. The pub, where we had dinner and breakfast, was just as welcoming and the food excellent. We chose here for its location close to Bolton Castle where we attended a Wedding however it looks...

After having recently stayed at The George Inn all we can say is the Tripadvisor reviews are spot on. The room was lovely, with more extras than most 4-5 star hotels we have stayed in. Charles and Becci were excellent hosts, the meals ( we tried Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner !) were of a very high standard. The walks which...

Stayed here overnight late September. A great place to get away from it all with just 2 letting rooms. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bar has an eclectic mix of pictures and ornaments and is very cosy. Great home cooked food and the breakfast was delicious made with top quality ingredients.

If you wish to escape from the madding crowd then this quiet pub in a quiet village is the place for you. Our three night break with dog was excellent in every respect in a lovely room with very comfortable bed and although not a shower lover generally this one could not be faulted as even I could operate it...

Visited the George Inn recently. Very good hospitality, Excellent beer and Sunday roast was very good. And they take dogs which isn't always the case. We booked in advanced but told by landlord evenings are the busiest. A recommended base for good walking.

We have just had a three night break at The George and would recommend it to anyone as a fantastic place to stay when visiting the Dales. The accomodation is first class, lots of little extras in the room which was spotless on arrival and every day when we returned from sightseeing. Charles is a perfect gentleman who goes out...

Absolutely fantastic place! Charles and Becci were, as always, impeccable hosts and the food was to die for. Great location for venturing out and exploring the quite spectacular countryside. Can't recommend it enough and we'll definitely be coming back for more.

Only two rooms (as far as i know) in an annex on the In itself. Rooms are comfortable, tasteful and impossibly clean. We ate in the pub and the food was excellent as was breakfast the nest morning. The pub had a lovely atmosphere with really friendly local people and therefore it didnt have that empty touristy feeling you sometimes...
