Stayed with 3 friends in 5 stat luxuary apartment. Facilities fabulous and enjoyed good breakfast and use of full leisure facilities. Will be returning to portavaddie again with friends/family. The views were amazing even on a cold winters evening .

Ferry to Tarbert, Loch Fyne, is a good option. No need to take the car if you are only visiting for a few hours.Timetable from CalMac ferries. There are a few nice little shops and galleries around the harbour. Some lovely seafood restaurants, and a small supermarket in the town.
In Kames, theVillage Store has a good selection of local produce if you are self-catering at Portavadie. Nice walks and shops in Tighnabruaich. Portavadie itself is a lovely destination. It's a beautiful area: hope you have a great stay!
