Family run place. The elders are a pair of Mandarin speaking Thai Chinese. English is also spoken and understood. The rooms are basic without frills. The water heater are gas powered and it is quite a challenge getting the temperature correct. Be careful not to step in the shower until you fully tested the water temperature and you are satisfied... More

We booked 3 double rooms and 2 little bungalows on 27/9/16. Upon checking in,the owner and family make us feel very welcome and served us with lovely tea. I and my best friend picked the little bungalows set in the garden with front porch, chairs and table. It provides comfy double bed, overhead fan,TV,free WIFI,hot shower,2 bottles free water,2 jars of shampoo... More

Little Home has about 8 bungalows and 5 hotel rooms. The hotel rooms are new but I still prefer the little bungalows set in the garden with a front porch and chairs and table. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful. The hotel is right next to the morning market so you can walk over for a very... More

After learning about the Chinese soldiers who had opted to stay behind after WWII, I thought we should have a somewhat different holiday by choosing to stay high up in the mountains for once. Once day trip driver had arrived at the Little Home Guesthouse around 4pm, and the owner's son was fast in helping us to carry the small... More

To give the management due credit, this has to be the best accommodation in Mae Salong for the money you pay. They put in the effort and money to upgrade and maintain the place. The other hotels look miserable. Shin Sane guesthouse next door looks dilapidated, but cheaper though. It is my opinion that major resorts like Mae Salong resort... More

Being recently retired, (therefore budget minded), we were looking for, but not necessary in order; Fits into our budget (tick) Location (tick) clean (tick) quiet (tick) comfortable (tick) Owner friendly and helpful. We had an unseasonal cold snap -and wet - like 12'c. A second doona was needed and provided. The only minor hiccup was the gas hot water system,... More

This is our 4th stay in 5 years & we still love it. They are undergoing construction of the front building but tried so hard to make our stay as comfortable as always & it was really quite fine. We stayed in the front bungalow as well as the back & both were lovely. Central location. Lovely friendly family. Down... More

Extremely helpful & friendly owner who gave us a map & information about walking around the area. Very clean bedding, water provided. Each bungalow has its own private terrace with seating & a table. Great value for 500 baht (£10) for a double bed. Mae Salong is a must visit, a beautiful place!
