You arrive there and first impression is amazing with the beautiful scenery and the colonial ambience. However, once you start experiencing the quality of its services, starting from the receptionsts, it becomes disappointing, especially in the event something requires extra attention be prepared to sort it out yourself because the manager is just careless. He is never available, and when...

This old gold smelting hacienda has been converted into a hotel. The setting is very nice at the bottom of basalt clifs. The old structures are being restored but the bad thing is that additions to the buildings are made with bad taste. There are rooms in the old structure and new rooms in an newer part. I stayed in...

We got to the hotel around 7 PM, the receptionist wasn't very nice or helpful. we asked about tours and they had almost no information. We went to have dinner and we sat on the patio. There was another table seated close to us. After we ordered, they started smoking, so we moved inside the restaurant to avoid the smell,...

Once you pass The Prismas Basálticos, you are near the best location in town to stay. You can enjoy the tour over the place to know the passageways and even get to a small waterfall. There was a wedding when I stayed, so you can imagine the place is nice. Don't forget cold weather clothes for the evenings.

How to arrive at the Hacienda from Pachuca via public transit: From the Clock Tower Square at the corner where Burger-king is, continue on the street away from the clock (north) toward the public market ( Mercado Benito Juarez). At the market turn right two shot blocks to Venustiano Carranza and then turn left. Walk up the block to De...

We happened to see the Hacienda de Santa María Regla from the park at the Basaltic Prism. Then decided to explore it and what we found simply blew our minds out. The Hacienda has kept the ambiance of days gone and still has many fabulous corners to explore. The back area, with all the mining working areas, will make you...

The Hacienda is a dream come true. The environment is a lot more for couples than for families. Private, quiet and there is a night tour to look around with torches, we do recommend! Approx. cost MXP$100 p/p. The food is not great, nor the hotel premises; though the personnel is very friendly. Beware no hot water nor wifi nor...

Never got a response on line so I made the reservation by phone indicating SPECIFICALLY we wanted a cabin with a fireplace based on past stays. Victor Hernandez in Mexico City assured me we were all set. Upon arrival we are told there are no cabins and that we had a regular room assignment. Lady on duty offered a suite...

First off, we didn't stay at this location in their rooms, so this review has nothing to offer in regard. We went as part of a large tour group on a Saturday, were taken around and shown the grounds, and had a buffet lunch. The surrounding location is beautiful, as are the grounds. But. I had several moments of "this...

We went during the Mother's Day weekend and at the time we got a good deal in price, we were surprise with the warm service they provide with the great food they cook. Also, the building itself is a piece of art and history, so much to explore and learn. This is one of those hidden marvelous in Mexico that...
