From the time Craig opened the door and welcomed us to have tea and cake, nothing was too much trouble. We dined in on the second night and the food was great with a very good choice of wines. We had room 5 which was a little on the snug side but we had booked last minute and all the...

Some friends and I have just spent a few nights at Dalegarth House and it was perfect. Clare and Craig are most welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts and welcoming flapjacks were excellent and the two evening meals we had were superb. The garden is beautiful. A wonderful place to stay in the Western Lakes

I have stayed here twice and have not been disappointed Nothing is to much bother excellent food cosy rooms some of the hotels in Keswick could learn a lot from this place service without being over gushing a clean and pleasant place to stay with good views of the lake

I enjoyed my stay with very attentive hosts. Everything was clean and lots of special little touches. Breakfast was good too. The hotel has wonderful lake views. A large car park and good wifi reception. Valuable during my stay.

I have multiple food intolerances and contacted the owners prior to staying. Once given my long list of restrictions, Clare replied with a full menu of 5 different evening meals (starter, main and dessert), each with a detailed list of ingredients. All were completely suitable. When I arrived, I found that Clare had also bought extra food suitable to have...

A delight in a wonderful setting. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, the room was comfortable and spacious, the breakfast was AMAZING, and the location is fantastic, it's an easy walk to the lake, Keswick and the start of some beautiful climbs. Plus free cake, what more could you ask? I would definitely book again, and next time I...

Brilliant hotel, we stayed 2 nights and couldn't be happier with the service, cleanliness or comfort. Clare and Craig were amazingly helpful with advice to get the most out of our short stay. They made us so welcome and the breakfasts were amazing, nothing too much trouble for these friendly hosts. Thanks again.

Super clean room and house. A pleasant 20 minute walk to Keswick. Easy walking access to several fells. Best of all are the proprietors. They can't do enough for you and are VERY knowledgeable about the whole area.

We have just eaten the best food at this lovely little hotel within walking distance of Keswick. What a perfect place to spend a long weekend for birthday celebrations. Easy to reach lovely fell walks from the hotel, clean comfortable rooms and such friendly people. Welcomed with tea and homemade cake by Craig on arrival. Lots of tips for places...
