Beautiful house next to Potes but at the same time isolated from everything... an unparalleled environment in the mountains.
Very cozy with beautiful views of peaks, not a single detail is missing. Breakfasts in the garden with those views, a luxury. Delicious homemade products, everything...and with every detail attended by José...very friendly...and accompanied by his dog.
Totally recommended..

We had 2 nights in this beautiful Posada just outside Potes. We were on the second floor with amazing views out of both windows. Such a calm and peaceful setting to truly relax in the stunning Picos de Europa National Park. Isabel and Jose are fantastic hosts and can’t do enough for you including recommendations for places to eat and ringing to make reservations for us. Breakfast was delicious and we sat out on the patio enjoying the view. Highly recommended place to stay.

When we were choosing a location in the Picos, we were hoping to wake up, throw open the curtains and be wowed by the mountain scenery and this is absolutely what his guesthouse delivers. It is perfect.

It is very easy to find, albeit you have to navigate a steep slope, to arrive at the hotel drive. Once there, you will be greeted by the charming Jose and Isabella, who allow you to enjoy their home as your own.

The rooms are tastefully decorated with windows looking out on to stunning mountain views. Jose and Isabella gave us a choice of rooms and we chose the Red room at the top of the house.Just lovely.

Their home is well tended and particularly enjoyed watching Jose water his roses in early evening. Isabella speaks good english and whilst Jose speaks only spanish to my basic Spanish, we managed just fine with improvisation and a good sense of humour!

Breakfast was very good and if you are fortunate to be able sit outdoors, the mountain ranges are mesmerising.

A perfect place to stay, perfect hosts - just perfect!

The location of this Posada is stunning with superb views from all rooms and we loved our two night stay here. The drive up to the place is single track and a little bit hair raising the first time you do it as you are worried you might meet something coming the other way.Thankfully however there is another road to go down on!
On arrival there was no one around which was a bit worrying but after around 20 minutes another guest arrived and helpfully give us the owners mobile number who duly arrived 10 minutes later.( A contact number left on reception would have been helpful)
Breakfast each day was delicious and there is an honesty bar in operation for coffee/soft drinks/ beer and wine which is kept in the dining room. If the weather is good breakfast is served outdoors overlooking the mountains.
The rooms are fairly basic and the plumbing quite noisy but the views more than make up for this.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The family who own the place were very friendly and welcoming, even with our shocking lack of spanish. It has really beautiful surroundings and it's worth staying out of the town for.

It's up a fairly hard steep road - which I wouldn't like to drive at night. Also our poor rental car really struggled to get up the final hill. It took us three goes to build up the speed!

We were given a choice of rooms, all which were individually well decorated. Our room on the top floor was absolutely charming with a nice view and comfy beds. It even had a jacuzzi bath (albeit a very short one) which was a really nice bonus. One issue was the walls/floors were very thin/not at all soundproof so if you're a light sleeper you might be in trouble!

We had breakfast which was plentiful but not quite for me as I'm a little picky but there's no choice they just bring you whatever they have on that day. What a view though! We had some cold meats, fruit, some lovely homemade almond biscuits, some cake, cereal and great fresh orange juice. Coffee was just the strong filtered coffee. Perhaps a little steeply priced for a no-choice meal but if you eat everything you'll probably enjoy it. I would have preferred some hot food though.

They also charged e1.50 for a small bottle of water which I thought was a bit steep as a lot of places provided free water in the rooms.

It is up a big hill, about twenty minutes walk to Potes, which can be a little scary in the dark if a car comes so a high-vis jacket and torch would really come in handy.

There's a walk to a nearby monastery but we started out to it and it was far too dangerous on the roads- there's a load of bends and no hard shoulder so you just have to hope no cars come or that they're driving in the middle of the road! There is a lovely but hard (2 or three hours uphill) trek up to the cross on the hill too.

Ultimately, it's a really lovely place to stay and I would absolutely recommend it for a great place to chill out. And Potes was a pleasant surprise too!

This Posada is 2 km from Potes, the south gate to Picos de Europa. On the way to Fuente De you will find the sign Mieses. The Posada is on the hills. The view is outstanding. Room is nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is average but lovely set up outside. Isabel hospitality could not be better. Don't miss this place!

I stayed 2 nichts at this beautiful posada. Excellent location, service and room. Allthough I stayed in my live in many hotels. I have never had such a good experience.
The ownership gave me good tips about "what to see and to do". Nothing was to much for them and very personal treatment.

A dream comes true. Though a bit hard to reach- this place is heaven. Beautiful views from every place, charming rooms and surrounding , hammocks around the swimming pool, superb spoiling breakfast, very caring hosts, and.. and..,only drawback is that u can hear it all from your room but this is not disturbing as most of time it is only the birds and sheep. Love this place.
