Our trip here was truly amazing. The staff was great, the accommodations were fun and the food was the best! Our stay in the large guest house was really fun and made our whirlwind tour of Norway simply stand still with the location and peacefulness! Highly recommend!m

The perfect location, service, and staff. We had a large group and all stayed together in the old storehouse. The weather was great and we used it as a jumping off point for jotunheimen and the bessigen ridge. Highly recommended. If you are within 100 miles you have to go.

Stayed 1-one night last weekend and would definately return if going to this area of Norway. Excellent service, perfect setting, a tad to expensive, but still worth the visit. Rooms are cosy, but I would have preferred a bit harder beds. God food and overall absolutely worth it.

Last June we stayed 4 nights in Nordre Ekre. Last year we couldn't fully enjoy our stay so we decided to come back this year and it was the best decision we could have made. Nice room (we had the pink one), nice environment (we did some great hikes!), nice weather (true, that was perhaps also luck) and on top...

My friend and I stayed in this historic place for two nights. It is everything you expect of a family owned hotel in the green Norwegian hills. Warm rooms, good bathroom facilities ( we had a junior suite) very comfortable bed all furnished with traditional furniture. The 4 course set evening meal was to die for both nights.

Rather than stay in a more traditional hotel or b&b this family run boutique hotel is a must if you are in the area. The old buildings have been sensitively converted to a modern level of comfort without loosing the feel of the original spaces. The common library - a coffee/tea lounge room- is a great way to meet fellow...

We stayed at this amazing place a couple of times. Nr.1 place to stay if you are visiting beautiful Gudbrandsdalen. The traditional buildings makes the stay spectacular together with the sound of the mighty river. The staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast, and gourmet cuisine in the evenings. We will be back, and I recommend this to...

My party of three occupied three rooms for one night in spacious converted log-cabin farm buildings. The conversions were done to a high standard, and the rooms were comfortable, although my room was short of natural light (just one small window, too high to see through). The lack of windows is a shame as the location is in an attractive...

We spent two nights here and came away wishing we could have spent a week. We're hikers and this is a perfect base--Besseggen was about a 45 minute drive (no boat yet and still a bit of snow but we made the summit!), or you can just start from the inn. The setting is spectacular, just up from the river...

We stayed here three nights in August. Owners and staff were fabulous. They were cordial, provided gourmet meals, and even helped us navigate the area and find help in locating the farm where our ancestors grew up before coming to US in late 1880s. They made the trip a memorable one. Thanks to them all. This is a very special...
