Stayed here for a couple of days to attend a funeral, the stay was ok and the food adequate, but months later we were being harassed to settle the bill which had been paid on leaving, we proved that we had paid as we had the card debit receipt, this was agreed, then a few weeks later we were asked...

I stay at this hotel very frequently and have found the staff friendly and attentive. Food is limited in choice but what is served is cooked and presented to a high standard. I really enjoy coming here and will continue to do so. Overall a great experience.

This is certainly not a 4 star hotel. I was given a room in reception (literally) opposite the bar. It was very clean but very dated and the TV only had 1 chanel. I was the only person in the resteraunt for dinner. Steak and triple cooked chips (£20) took 50 mins to come. Steak so tough I couldn't cut...

My partner & I decided to stay here for one night rather than a large chain as we thought it would be more friendly and intimate but how wrong could we have been! On arrival we found the hotel front door locked with a telephone number to ring for a code to obtain the key to the front door. Once...

I stayed as I was working at our head office for a week. I had to bring my 13 yr old along with me. First impressions.... The room was absolutely tiny, the decor was extremely dated. The room was suffocating it was that hot, but we could not keep the windows open over night due to the noise from the...

The person who greeted us at check-in was very friendly and efficient. My bedroom was comfortable but the bathroom was very small, but everything I needed was provided. Breakfast was very nice, but my colleague and I both thought it was quite a small breakfast! The lock on my room was fiddly but someone did come quickly and explain how...

The service was polite and friendly at all times. The room was light and airy and had all that we expected. My husband and I do not 'do' cooked breakfast but we saw what others had and it looked good and well presented. We chose this hotel as it was very close to where my son lives. The location was...

My wife and I stayed for one night. Unusually the hotel is unmanned during silent hours. On a Sunday evening (which is when we stayed) this is from 5pm (later arrivals would need to phone a number and be given instructions, but we were in before that), so we could not sample the bar or restaurant. The hotel layout is...

Visiting family in Bath I booked two rooms at this hotel and checked in for a one night/ two room stay... First impressions are of a tired hotel that needs updating -that is ok and we can live with old decor - but..wifi not in all rooms - beds rock hard - definately need to spruce up the bathroom cleaning...

We have stayed at the Grasmere twice. The first time, their wifi was not working well, but that had been fixed by the time of our second visit. A pleasant location, with a very nice breakfast. Off-street parking is available, and there is a frequent bus service to Bristol and Bath.
