Beautiful homestay with great hosts...fantastic food cooked by Vali's wonderful wife, best advises from Vali who speaks many languages and is a bunch of joy. He takes you on a tour to some small villages in this area, has many stories to tell and his humour is unique and full of charme. Vali's homestay is in walking distance to the...

My boyfriend and i stayed with Vali for 1 week. It was an experience we will never forget. He invited us in his home, his wife cooked every day the best meals we had in our 5 weeks in Iran. The children took us swimming, Vali assited us with our Turkmenistan visa application and showed us his carpet work place....

Mashhad is a friendly city that feels different from the rest of Iran with its main attraction being the Imam Reza shrine which is absolutely amazing! Staying at Vali's place brings a Mashhad experience to an entirely new level: Vali is a carpet seller willing to share his experience, tell you about the carpet business, guide you around Mashhad's carpet...

vali is a very interesting person offering, besides his function as a professional carpet trader, extremely useful advice and suggestions as well as excursions e. g. to the village kang or to nomadic tribes. his wife is a perfect cook and dinner on the terrace is each time a special event.

Vali is a very friendly and nice person. He speaks an excellent english and also can give you good tips about the city:from how to move to which are the best sights. The homestay is a correct place where to spend 1 or 2 nights and it is well located. Would recomend ;)

When tired traveler arrives at Vali's home, without further questions he get a soft carpet, a pillow and a cup of hot tea. Shower and deep sleep in quiet room with thousand carpets. But, when dinner arrives from Vali wife's kitchen you know the...

We loved this homestay. Vali the owner as you can see from some of previous reviews certainly does polarise people. We however absolutely loved our time here with him and his family. Yes the accomodation might be a little rough around the edges but this is a good old fashioned backpacker hub. The sheets are clean, water hot and there...

I would recommend staying here if only for all the information you can get from other travelers but also for Vali's incredible willingness to help you out. When we couldn't find a bus ticket to our next destination (the counter at the bus station is pretty chaotic), he took some precious time off his busy schedule to bring us to...

There's a driver/guide at Vali's homestay(Rafi) whose fees for Kang tour as well as another different tours are reasonable(sometimes negotiable). Enjoy your stay in Mashad! See you soon! We started the tour at about 9 am. It took nearly one hour drive to arrive into the steppy village by car. The same duration to drive back to Mashad. We had...

The food was excellent. We had 2 private rooms. Excellent contact with the family. Vali took the time to explain everything and to show us the city. Very good organisation and well organised tours. I can recommend Vali's homestay to anyone traveling to Mashaad.
