We loved it! And we will go back for sure. Hans and Krissi, the dogs and all the people we met were super nice! Hospitality at its best! the combination with flying in a Travelair 1929 Biplane over the Desert of Namibia made this an unforgettable experience! This could be one of the nicest flying lodges in the world!

If you're into stars - look no further, actually, look up once the lights go off and the most amazing star dome lights up above you. The Tsondab Valley Reserve is a gorgeous little lodge with five individual "huts" that overlook the dry riverbed of the tsondab. The owners, Kristin and Hans, manage the place with love and dedication and...

The 30 minute drive from the main road close to Solitaire takes you to a 17,000 hectare reserve which will not fail to disappoint. Hans and Kristin were excellent hosts - so friendly and informative. The opportunity to go for a sundowner in the 1974 open topped landrover and end up on a dune top as the light turns the...

The Tsondab Valley is simply marvelous. The colors around the lodge are incredible: orange sand and blue mountains far away. The sunset was a show! We stayed in the camping for two nights and we enjoyed our time a lot. Yes, the "open" bathroom and showers with desert view are a special treat, the hikes are easy and they allow...

If you visit Namibia and don't stay here you need a punch in the head. We flew in from fish river canyon where we had no service' freezing rooms and over priced averageness. On landing (yes they have their own airstrip so u don't have to drive) we were greeted by Hans in his awesome Landy and taken to the...

This review is long overdue: we travelled (clockwise) around Namibia in Oct 2013 and stayed at Tsondab for a night to break our journey between Sossusvlei and Swapopmund. Having done so, we wish we'd stayed longer as the surrounding area was breathtaking. As other reviewers have stated, the 'camp' is just round the corner from Solitaire, up a 20km(?) gravel...

We stayed here on the campsite for one night here on our way from Sesriem to Swakopmund, to break the journey up. If we went again, we would try the chalets. What a wonderful drive in. You leave the main road and then have an exciting drive down a single track road. Occasionally, there are signs to make you smile...

A group of friends and I camped there. We keep very fond memories of our stay in this Lodge. In part because the place is beautifully set up for you to intimately embrace the views. What do I mean by this? For one, the campsites benefit from awesome outdoor showers from which you can admire the valley. Secondly the sun...

Kristin the co-owner enjoys driving through the dunes with the 1972 Land Series II and so did we! A great stop for photographers sharing al the great stops with Kristin being photographer herself. The best about the chalets is sitting on "the roof" watching the stars. One can actually request for your bedroom to be setup on the roof -...

We camped there 2 nights. Might not have been travelling in high season but we couldn't get some laundry done or take breakfast at the main lodge... Felt like not there at the right time. Running and drinking water on the campsite and stunning - but not private - ablution facilities built in the rock with fantastic vista.

Please note that we do not specifically offer a laundry service to camping guests. Our kitchen caters for camping guests from 4+ people only. Thank you for your understanding.
