Our family of four had a wonderful, relaxing week-long stay here. The hosts are gracious and helpful, and the house and grounds were beautiful. We chose to eat at the hostal on most nights, and were treated to great local home-cooked dishes. My highest recommendation!

We spent eleven nights here. Our room was of a good size with nice views over the rear garden. We opted for dinner every night which was very good as was the breakfast. Hostal Neu is set in a clearing surrounded by walnut groves, olive groves and a sunflower field. Although rural Hostal Neu is very close to all the...

Tucked away in the Figueres / Besalu / Girona triangle, in an utterly peaceful location, not at all difficult to find with Joan's directions. It's a nicely restored old building, with spacious rooms, tasty breakfast and nicely-cooked evening meals. Joan and Elena are friendly and full of information. A good base for discovering the area.

Hostal Nou is a beautiful, well maintained and established property surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the Catalonian countryside. It is particularly child friendly with stair gates and high chairs etc although as a couple we did not find this intrusive . There were also 3 Spanish families staying. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The garden area...

Hostal Nou is set in countryside away from it all to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside yet within an hour of some beautiful historic villages and beaches. Joan and Elena were very friendly. Buffet breakfast was good and Elena's evening meals were excellent. Our room was comfortable with a much needed ceiling fan to cool down. Plenty...

The couple running the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They spoke perfect English. Despite this, some of the information in the pack in the room was only in German, Spanish and Catalan, but not in English. The dinner was slightly hit and miss. One night it was delicious, tasty, fresh and inventive- another night, the main was a piece...
