A decent country pub with a great gin selection - they had no less than 21 gins to try including saffron gin, silent pool, and some other great options AND a Green Tourism Silver Award. Definitely worth checking out.

As you enter the landlord is charming and very happy to explain the wide range of gins on offer! The staff were all very friendly and the menu has a great range of dishes with some very imaginative ones - I had chicken breast with green peppercorn, chilli and lime sauce which was delicious. No space for desserts!

My brother, his wife and I needed a one night stopover at a pub in the Brecon Beacons, the Usk and Railway had great reviews, so we took the chance. It turned out to be an inspired choice. It offered traditional but bang up to date ensuite rooms. Friendly bar with great real ales. Mouth watering menu, what to choose?...

We had a one night stay whilst on the way home to Cornwall from a holiday further North. This is one of the friendliest places I have stayed. The owners and their staff are exceptional in their hospitality, from the moment we walked in to the minute we left. The rooms are modern, very clean and smart, in fact the...

From making the booking to the moment we left, the friendly attention could not be faulted. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bedroom was very user friendly. We enjoyed excellent evening meals in the restaurant chosen from a good selection on the menu. If visiting this lovely area of Wales again we will certainly make The Usk and Railway our...

From the moment of arriving we were well looked after. The rooms were clean and quiet even though over the public house and on the main road. Bed was really comfy too. We were due back after the restaurant was due to close but they worked round it and the food was excellent and great value. Really friendly and very...

Excellent choice of...

We spent 2 nights at this inn. The room was decent and the staff very friendly. It was a good location for the site seeing we had planned in that area and the food was very good. The only drawback is that parking is rather limited.

After 16 years of passing this Inn, we stopped for a meal and was delighted. Everyone was so friendly, the food was really good and hot when reaching the table. The rib eye steak I had was delicious and the best I've had in a very long time. My husband had the vegetable lasagne which he also thoroughly enjoyed. We'll...
