Took my partner out for a treat and came across the Abadam in Porthyryd. It was curry night and I had the Thai Green Curry and the wife had a chicken madras. My Thai curry was outstanding and the best I've tasted in a while. They were served with rice, chips or half and half, naan, poppodom and mango chutney....

Stopped here for Sunday lunch. Very friendly, nice atmosphere and the food was very tasty- the gravy delicious. Good value for money. My only critique? I'd have liked some green veg to accompany the meal. Great to find somewhere local that serves until 16.00 and also provides takeaway dinners. Fabulous! Many thanks.

Visited last Sunday and had the best Sunday lunch I've eaten in a very long time (excluding my mums of course!) very friendly pub with loads of history and character. The beef was sublime well cooked and great presentation ! Not being a lover of root mash I was converted! Friendly and relaxed and competitively priced. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
