We arrived at 2.20pm on 5 March for Sunday lunch, they had run out of beef and lamb so we had to order chicken and a pizza for our nine year old. At 4pm the waiter, in a tiger print vest, told us he had just been told the chicken had all gone. We were later told be the waitress...

Had heard good things about this place, arrived in the off chance at about 2 pm on a Sunday just got a table, however Sunday lunch so popular had run out out of the beef and the lamb! So we settled for the chicken lovely food good vibe about the place but must remember to get there early on a...

This pub sits on a picturesque junction below the North Downs. It is warm and friendly, with an incongrous Mediterranean bar (complete with olives) among the Olde English interior. The staff are warm and welcoming and the menu is excellent! The food is freshly prepared and adventurous for a country pub - and tastes as good as it sounds!

Really friendly staff, both in the bar, and then in the restaurant. Very chatty and helpful. Beautiful pub with a fantastic ambience to it. The range of gins was amazing and the food was just really lovely. We shared a gin and tonic cheesecake which I cannot wait to try again.

Lovely lunch birthday treat from grandson. Staff friendly; phoned to prebook but was told not necessary. Had to wait few minutes for a table as extremely busy but we didnt mind. Agree with other comments regarding waiting time for food but when it is cooked fresh what do you expect! Certainly didn't put us off well worth the wait. Lovely...

Came here with a group of friends last month to celebrate my birthday. With several of my party working shifts we found it hard to accommodate a party of our size at a weekend so were extremely grateful we were given a table here. Service was very friendly, and we were checked on to ensure our pre-order was correct, checking...

Great food for dinner , breakfast poor - bread crumbly and not nice . Rooms stunning but noise is an issue - staff arriving Sunday morning ensure if their talking does not wake you the music they play does at just gone 7am we were not impressed . Open plan rooms mean visiting the "powder room" is a SHARED experience...

It's such a shame to rate this lovely pub as poor. We have been on many occasions and have always thought highly of the place but are there new staff members or new management? Something's changed, but it needs changing back. This is the second recent occasion where the food has arrived burnt and this time one of the staff...

We live locally and have visited and stayed at the Five Bells on numerous occasions. It is my favourite pub for miles around - the quirky atmosphere is amazing, open fires, delicious smells and gorgeous surroundings. However, the last two occasions have been very disappointing and I would be hard pressed to have a meal there again. Mid-December my friend...

Just had a natter platter at 2.00 PM the quality is simply superb and the place is busy. Great eccentricity but based on real quality and hospitality my favourite pub ever. You can pop in just for a beer or a milestone event it dosent matter it still manages to exceed expectations
