Sornbank is a beautiful B & B located in an area where it is ideal for exploring the island. Kath was such a welcoming hostess and extremely helpful with any queries we had. The room was very comfortable and spotless and totally quiet. Hopefully we will be able to visit again and stay longer next time.

Katherine welcomed us when we arrived after 8pm. The stay was comfortable in every way. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The twin room & bathroom were huge, the comfort throughout was wonderful. The location is perfect for exploring Islay.

The balcony of the first floor, 'Coachman's flat' at Sornbank looks out over a weir on the river at Bridgend. A heron stalks the fish below. Swallows sweep the surface of the river and many birds spend time in the trees opposite. A few minutes walk up the road leads to the start of a 3 mile walk through mixed...

My Wife and I enjoyed our 3 nights at this B&B. The location was central to the islands visiting spots but a car is essential to see them easily. The room we had was on the front of the building ans was subject to some vehicle noise in the mornings, but this was a minor problem. The room and bathroom...
