Super peaceful hostel in a magic location. I was up to complete the 40km of Loch Awe on a Paddleboard, solo and un suported. I could launch from the carpark. The owner was super helpful and for a small price he also picked me up from the head of the Loch (2 hour round trip) and brought me back. There...

Myself and friends stayed at the hostel for the weekend to complete the Loch Awe Kayak Challenge. The hostel was amazing. It is situated in the bay which is peaceful and sheltered but with plenty of room for the boats, equipment and cars. The self catering faculties were spotless and clean and well stocked if you wished to make meals....

A very warm and friendly welcome. Yes, this hostel is more comparable to PremierInn Hotel. Free WIFI too. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, clean and modern en-suite with shower. We stayed to kayak Loch Awe arriving in the dark we had a wonderful surprise when we woke up. You'd be hard pushed to find this quality in such an idyllic place...

There were six of us in 3 rooms and we were there to kayak Loch Awe. The first experience was the warm and friendly welcome we received. We were shown around the hostel and where to find everything. Everywhere was warm and spotlessly clean. The rooms were spacious and more than comparable with a Premier Inn. The beds were comfortable...

We were 6 people on a short 4 day road trip and came across this property which felt like a lodge and not a hostel. It is located right on a lake where you can rent a boat. We upgraded to 2 - 3 person rooms with twin beds overlooking the lake. A beautiful setting and would have loved to...

My husband and I spent a great weekend at Torran Bay. This was our first visit and my first staying in a hostel. A hostel isn't the type of accommodation I would choose but we stumbled on Torran Bay during a previous visit to the area and had a nosy. We were really impressed with the facilities and having your...

Well it might be called a hostel, but think DIY 3/4 star hotel in terms of facilities, but what really makes it is the super friendly, super helpful hospitality. All delivered with a good dose of Irish humour. Good ask for better ! The whole set up is fabulous & we'll be back. We actually booked for one night &...

Absolutely ideal place for a west coast stag do weekend getaway. Booked out the 7-room wing which meant we had run of a lounge and kitchen. All of the facilities were excellent; comfortable bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, great bbq area. Surrounded by the beautiful environment this was the perfect place to celebrate with friends. Joachim has done a...

The facilities are excellent, the rooms are luxurious and the location is breathtaking, Joachim and Sheila are the most lovely, genuine and accommodating people, they cannot do enough for you, I would recommend this place to anyone and will return for sure.

My husband Graham and his brother Colin have their boat moored at Torran Bay and are regular visitors . Joachim, the owner is the nicest bloke you will ever meet, and nothing is to much trouble for him or Andre from ensuring the boat is safe, and assisting them with anything they need. Spotless accommodation with great self catering facilities....
