Krista is a lovely Cretan village and Argyro Rooms was a good base for 2 nights to explore the area. Argyro it was situated at the bottom of the hill and is a short walk up to the village where there is many traditional shops, cafés, restaurants and taverna's. My husband and I stayed in room 9, which was a...

We had one of the best meals in Crete at Argyro, and the welcome and service were great. Room was basic but comfortable. Overall exceptional value for money. Only issue was single beds that could not be made into a double. Kritsa is a charming village and very close to two of the finest historic sites in Crete - the...

I love Greece and the Greek people, fully understand the hardship they face and believe we should support them as much as possible. However, I think we should also be left to choose how we help them without pressure. I think it unprofessional to make a guest feel duty bound - this where Argyro let herself down on my visit....

Wonderful taste of the real Crete. Lovely small hotel in traditional Cretan mountain village, home cooking and personal care from Argyro and family, not forgetting Maria! Great walking within easy reach, car useful to get to many lovely beaches. If you are looking for the typical package holiday such as found at Chersonnisos or Malia, this isn't it! It's 100...

We returned to stay here for three nights and once again enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Argyro's evening meals were also served on the terrace as the weather was warm for April. Her cooking is excellent and more interesting than the usual taverna food. Our room had an excellent view. We enjoyed walking up the gorge to the mountain village...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Argyro's and it was as wonderful and relaxing as before. From the minute we arrived, late at night, we felt as though we had been welcomed home as part of the family. The accommodation is clean and warm, when needed. This is an ideal place to stay if you are an...

The owner was very welcoming. She cooks dinner for her guests and she has a cafeteria where it is possible to have breakfast. However, the meals were a little expensive. The view from the room (mountain and village) was really beautiful. The room seemed to have been recently renovated. It was in a very good condition.
