Tonga is the ideal pacific paradise if you want to chill out and really rest in Paradise. Likualofa offers what some travellers might consider to be basic accommodations when compared to other resort style luxuries..don't expect Pacific RESORT flash and fake ...just enjoy the best of simple Tonga style here ...for us this was the beauty of the place. Basic... More

Had a great week, staff amazing friendly and helpful esp. Sarah and Nancy although others good too. Bar/dining super area, food mostly great, show (which we did twice) Fab!!! Gardens lovely, although rubbish around. Units a bit sad, but adequate, snorkling ok. Isolated, but that a positive, buses, transport available. True Island experience without a huge price tag. Loved it!!!

Hi came here for a week with friends. Based on the recorded reviews our expectations were rather low. However, I have to report that we loved this resort. Sure it's a tad run down, but the staff are amazing. In particular Sarah and Nancy were fabulous _ super friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant is awesome and we had a great... More

The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant has great views and yummy cocktails. Serving sizes for mains in the restaurant are very generous and reasonably priced. The fales are relatively clean but are a tad dark and dreary. The hot water in our fale was barely a trickle but as we didn't experience hot water anywhere else in... More

A 45 minute drive from the airport but well worth the journey. The individual bungalows are set in beautiful gardens and the bar and restaurant overlook the beach and reef beyond. We were treated to whales breaching at sunset and then at breakfast a group of 5 whales came right up to the reef. At high tide you can snorkel... More

It would seem that the negative reviews have been taken notice of, for the most part. Staff were friendly and helpful, even though they are obviously overworked and underpaid. Restaurant service is no worse than any I've had in New Zealand. The major gripe was that the shuttle vans to/from the airport need trailers - there is not enough room... More

Pluses: The Tongan feast night and entertainment (Wednesdays and Saturdays) which was good value and interesting. Reception staff were very helpful. Minuses: Rooms were dirty - flyscreens were full of dust making it hard to see out of, louvre windows dirty, floors dirty, bathroom smelt dreadful - and had black mould spreading on tiles and walls in many areas. Toilet... More

For our first trip overseas, on a student budget, this resort had everything we needed for a relaxing and easy getaway. Food: The restaurant was great and well priced, free breakfast daily was an excellent treat, with a wide range of exciting dishes to choose from. Entertainment: The resort opens it's doors to travelers from all over the island to... More

We stayed for a week and every day presented some unexpected challenges. For starters, staff have no interest in serving their guests in any way .... Reception was mostly unattended, good luck finding someone who knew the password for the wifi, the restaurant was often unattended, even when they were supposed to serve breakfast. One night we attempted to dine... More

This resort made our trip memorable, for all the wrong reasons. Some of the group stayed in the front rooms which were much better than up the hill. Everyday had a new challenge from no hot water, to no cold water, to no water. Toilets sometimes didn't flush. Floor looked like a cockroach battleground one morning. Breakfast...nice if not in...
