great place, hosts were lovely, helpful and fun, Our kids enjoyed hanging out with theirs. Sunrise was stunning, as was the full moon over the water. Great food. Birding was amazing - different species everywhere you look. Highly recommend.

We were there in February, 2016. The cabin was simple but adequate; food was good. Saw lots of birds on boat trip on the lake. Side trip boat ride on a river to a Mayan ruin; more birds. Also side trip to "baboon" reserve. Great place to spend three full days. There was a misunderstanding with the owner: he couldn't...

This is our third stay at Crooked Tree Lodge, and it has a new look since our last visit. In August of 2016 Hurricane Earl passed through Belize and did quite a bit of damage. Crooked Tree Lodge was in it's path. Mick & Angie have done a lot of work to clean up the damage done by the hurricane....

6 Cabanas and a main lodge--so you aren't overwhelmed with people. 10± beautiful acres of open grass and trees on the shore of the lagoon. This time of year (March) a pretty strong east wind blows across the lagoon and keeps you cool--and pretty much every bird you wanted to see is right here, or very near by. A couple...

This is a birders paradise, where you just walk outside with your binoculars and spot a new bird everywhere you look. Mick and Angie take great care with breakfast and dinner; it just couldn't get any better. The grounds are kept very clean and appealing. The cabanas are just that, cabanas with no frills. You have a small wooden cabin...

Last week my husband Bobby and I returned from a fantastic week in the jungles of Belize. We spent two nights at the Crooked Tree Lodge and four nights at the Crystal Paradise Lodge. In both places the accommodations were quite spacious and very clean so a big thanks to the house staff. As for the dining arrangements the kitchen...

Mick & Angie run an amazing place. Their cabanas are clean and comfortable. The wildlife is extraordinary and you can wind away the hours on your balcony watching the birds and their pet dogs frolicking around. The location is idyllic overlooking the lagoon. A cooling breeze every afternoon makes it perfect. They have a great bar that caters for all...

The owners, Michael & Angie, were friendly and welcoming, preparing delicious meals. Theya were also helpful in arranging our tour of the Mayan ruins, Lamanai. It felt like visiting family. The location next to the lagoon was magical. Star gazing from the porch of our cottage was unbelievable. Our cottage was clean and beautiful, but without any screens on the...

Our stay at Angie's and Mick's lodge at Crooked Tree was one of the best we've ever encountered in our world travels. The cabin we used was small but well appointed and totally functional with a private deck area. Our hosts and their 3 boys were most engaging, entertaining and accommodating. The ambience was second to none as we were...

Wow, a spot on the lagoon, great meals, easy accessibility to a variety of trails and birdwatching opportunities, and easy drives to outlying areas...... Why would you want to stay elsewhere? Our cabana was $80 per night and we were upgraded because we had 5 nights booked. Don't miss a bird watch with Robert if you're into this or even...
