I visited Ireland for the first time this summer with my husband, who has been to the Western coast many times before. He loves Doolin, so we stayed a couple nights at Ballinalacken and used it as a jumping off point for Doolin and the Aran Islands. I HIGHLY rec. taking a ferry to one of the islands and renting...

This hotel is fantastic, though it is really more of a B&B than a hotel! It is not only in a BEAUTIFUL spot with castle ruins on the property, but the hotel staff makes you feel like you're at home. The best part of the hotel was the food, OMG AMAZING! I recommend the pistachio encrusted goat cheese, WOW! My...

Our Fifth annual trip to this wonderful spot! We were married here in 2008. Declan and Cecelia are wonderful hosts and the hotel is just right in every way. This was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last. It entirely lived up to expectations (based on Tripadvisor reviews). We had a room with a glorious view – the Cliffs of Moher out of one window and the Aran Islands out of the other. The four-poster bed was wonderfully comfortable and after the end of a long...

The owner gives guided tours - the only way to get inside - and you can see how...
