Ballinalacken Castle Hotel Doolin is one of the leading Castle Hotels Ireland with views of Cliffs of Moher. This Clare Hotel has an award winning restaurant and is the best place to eat in Doolin. It would be difficult to find a more beautiful place on the West Coast of Ireland in which to wake up. The Ballinalacken has been described in the press as one of the finest located houses in Europe. Our guest rooms offer spectacular panoramic views of the Aran Islands, the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay. A 15th Century Castle ruin of the O'Brien Clan stands imposingly beside the Ballinalacken Hotel.

Convenient, clean, and extremely welcoming staff. Amazing breakfast and exceptionally beautiful location although not in the town center. Great for visiting Doolin, Cliffs of Moher and the surrounding area! Highly recommended and will not disappoint!
Cecelia went was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room with the conservatory had a breathtaking view of the ocean, Cliffs of Moher, and the Aran Islands. The full Irish breakfast was superb. The very best scones! I think the dinners we enjoyed are Michelin worthy....More

Thank you for your lovely review.
We hope to welcome you both back to our hotel in the future,
Beautiful setting, we loved it here! The owner was so friendly, quaint castle with beautiful view of Atlantic and just few miles from Cliffs of Moher. Definitely highly recommend staying. Best dinner we’ve had in Ireland!
Nice place with good food and a lovely view out to the Aran Islands. With some other places we stayed in Ireland, it was good to be in or within a short walk of the town, but here we were glad to be a couple...More
This inn is a former estate and is situated next to the castle of the same name. A stay here includes a tour of the castle remains which provides good history of the area and the important clans people during the 14th century and beyond....More

There are taxis in town but not many, the pubs in town are great but the restaurant in the hotel is one of the best in the area. Pub in the hotel is VERY quiet and you'll find you're often the only one there, but it's very quaint and the service is good. No live music in the hotel pub.
The actual town has a few really good pubs, and it's the centre of music so you'll find it all good fun. Recommend O'Connor's and McGann's (locals' favourites).
