This is probably one of the best options to stay at and experience the Amazon area. I must admit that from e-mailing for reservations, to staying and departing, everything was very well organized with professional staf (both the hotel staff as all guides we met) which I find always very very helpful and assuring while traveling abroad. All trips made...

This lodge is geared up to explore the region mainly by boat to give a full appreciation of the beauty of the area. The stay was packed with activities to maximise your stay and experience. The guides are very knowledgeable The rooms are of good proportions although a little dark The food was mainly buffet style but of a good...

It was our family dream trip and Anavilhanas Lodge made it true! The location is magic. Just at the river and in the Anavilhanas reserve that comprises of an archipelago of more than 300 islands. The hotel facilities are comfortable and functional without losing touch with the experience of being at the heart of the rainforest. The tours are amazing...

The location is spectacular - peaceful and green. The quality and variety of menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner was impressive and featured the local cuisine like Amazon fish and fruits. The local guides were also outstanding. The whole team at Anavilhanas is top rate! We loved our time there - thank you!

Anavilhanas was recommended to my wife and I by two families, and we are superbly happy we took their advice. A wonderful outdoor experience that is guided wonderfully by everyone at the lodge. We were met at our hotel in Manaus by a van from the lodge, which took us to the lodge. It was approximately 3 hours by car....

Top dollar lodge on banks of Rio Negro deep in Amazon country. Excellent comfortable and well equipped semi-detached chalets. Many organised trips with local guides which keep guests busy from pre-dawn to night walks. Good canopy tower for bird watching. High quality and varied buffet meals. Only problem I had was variable electricity supply - understandable for such a remote...

If this is your first visit to a jungle lodge you may enjoy the Amazon experience, however it fell way below our expectations. We have stayed in many lodges in more remote parts than this and had far better experiences. We went hoping to see a range of Amazon bird life amongst other things but we saw more birds at...

We returned last night and I don't normally review holidays this quickly but this location is absolutely outstanding; location (beautiful national park, Rio Negro = no mossies, quiet & in sympathy with surrounds), customer service (welcoming & extremely helpful staff, knowledgable guides who spoke good English), accommodation (comfortable beds, spotlessly clean rooms, great showers), food (locally sourced, wide variety, healthy,...

It was very clear to see why the lodge was so highly rated once I got there. Personalised service, excellent rooms, great tours. Quite simply luxury in the jungle, the food was very good with a large variety of food. Hammocks in each room, clean water and such a comfy bed too. I enjoyed all the tours and the hotel...
