This has to be one of our favourite hotels in the UK. We are always made very welcome by the staff, who are friendly and attentive and to whom nothing is too much trouble. Our room was comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel is all on one level, which makes it very convenient for my wife who is currently...

This is a lovely, small place to stop. The room was not large, but it was appointed well. The windows actually opened full-tilt, too. A fox was roaming in the orchard just outside our window in the morning. The hotel owner was very helpful and friendly. This is not a pretentious place, just nice and comfortable.

We have returned from a trip to the very North of Scotland and had booked here on the way back. Compared to a wide range of other B&B and hotels we used on our trip, this was a definite disappointment. To be fair, there is not a great deal of choice at Dunrobin in North Skye, But even so, the...

First visit to the Isle of Skye, would definitively return, We stayed one night at Dunorin House Hotel. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The House Hotel is spotless and very quite, the perfect setting after a long drive! Breakfast was very good. Super friendly and efficient staff running a very nice House Hotel . After unsuccessful search for a hotel in Portree (Thank goodness!!) over internet, we found this hotel. Our initial apprehension of staying out-of-nowhere turned out to be a blessing in a disguise. The hotel was not cheap, being in the height of a tourist season, but the room was quiet, clean and spacious with friendly staff. Breakfast was typical fare, but...

To be fair to the 'hotel' it was the only place we could find that had rooms free for the night so it was this or nothing and it was clean and warm and had free wifi. The road side sign said 4* Hotel ... the one at the entrance said 3* Hotel ... the accommodation and facilities on offer...

We were visiting Skye during the peak season without any booking for a B&B. This proved to be a mistake as we spent nearly a whole day trying to find any vacancy. But luckily we came across the lovely Dunorin House where we spent three days altogether and would have loved to stay longer. Our room was spacious, with very...

As others have noted, the Dunorin House Hotel is spotlessly clean. As others have also noted, the floors creak whenever anybody walks through, which can be quite noisy, although I guess not much can be done about it. It might however keep you from dropping off to sleep. Similarly if someone opens a door, the door to my room would...

Needed to stay in a hotel near to relatives and was not disappointed. Lovely, well cooked breakfast. Service, friendly and efficient. Would recommend for that end of the island. Very clean rooms. Didn't try evening meal but smelt good and heard good comments from other guests?

A clean and accommodating (read accessible) place to stay was all my wife and I were looking for as we spent 2 days in Skye. The Dunorin House Hotel is an ex - elder person home and as a result the rooms, corridors and public spaces are wide and somewhat lacking in charm. The rooms and bathrooms are large and...
