First time at The Gables and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Coming into the hotel was lovely and warming, and shown where our room was. Lovely room well decorated, clean and lovely furniture. We had only booked in for b&b and in the morning was shown round the breakfast room which was lovely, plenty of...

This was our third stay at The Gables because we were very impressed with the previous two visits, as you can see from my previous review. This time the welcome was just as warm, the service friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean (the staff are a credit to the hotel). However, the evening meal was a little disappointing...

Our room was at the front of the hotel and was clean and spacious only complaint was the low pressure on the shower, although there was a notice on the wall apologising for it...

Could have been lovely warm atmosphere but brash and pubby instead. Went for dinner as we were on dbb basis. Every thing bar 2 dishes were...

Could not fault this hotel. Room was beautiful with four poster bed and spa bath. Enjoyed a meal in the restaruant and breakfast in the morning. Both of which were great quality meals. Central location. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Would highly recomend this hotel.

We chose this hotel as it was rated at number 1 of 5 hotels in Gretna. We are planning to get married later this year so stayed here to get all the information and an idea of what to expect. So glad we did. We arrived around 5.15pm on a Thursday night and checked in by a friendly receptionist. We...
