Visited the restaurant on recommendation from the owner of Bower Wigwams. We all had steak. Cooked to our choosing. Nice bar surroundings nothing special, friendly staff, nice choice of drinks. But the steak was delicious. Value for money, if I recall the sirloin was under £20. Good stop for food on North Coast 500 trip, very close to John O'Groats

The hotel interior is a bit tired but makes up for it by having very comfortable beds, friendly staff and absolutely wonderful tasty food, we would certainly return and recommend . Beautiful soft fresh fruits served at breakfast were top quality.

This is an old hotel with rooms simply upgraded to en-suite shower room. Room was clean with a comfortable bed but not spacious enough. Shower either scalding or cold.Staff very helpful and informative. Parking is available in a street alongside the hotel. Breakfast could have been better. Overall it was worth what we paid.

Needing a place to stay after having been to John O Groats, I found this hotel online. Not sure what to expect, I was most pleasantly surprised. The staff upon my arrival was most helpful and polite. I went to their bar to have a drink and some food. I had the BBQ chicken with wedges. It was absolutely amazing!...

The hotel has been doing some up grades, everything looks fresh and clean. My room was perfect for me and the price. The bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom looks like it was recently remodeled, very nice and new. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was very nice. The staff were very friendly and cheerful....

We stayed at the hotel for a few days connected with work. The hotel was spotlessly clean & nice & warm at all times, very welcome when it's snowing outside! The food was superb & the staff were all wonderfully helpful & polite. I have no hesitation recommending the place & will definitely stay there again if we are in...

We spent 2 nights here and had a great time, will definitely be back! First impressions are that it's a wee bit dated, but once you get passed that you realise it's a very clean and friendly hotel, with a real family atmosphere. The staff are lovely, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The food...

Been here 3 times and previous visits were ok for the food. This time the carvery was acceptable but puddings were average and sloppy. The main disappointment was it was chilly in the room, played annoying music and the large restaurant lacks any atmosphere, feels very impersonal. The staff were efficient but a smile wouldn't go amiss. We don't think...

We spent three nights at the Castletown hotel and would go again. The hotel was the cleanest i have ever been in. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile. Room was comfortable with a decent size tv. Good parking round the back of the hotel. Convenience store over the road with a free to use bank machine.

This place is great value for money. We went to the Sunday Carvery and were delighted by the choice of food and quality. It was only £13.50 each for three courses although we didn't bother with starters - I just wanted to have room left for dessert! There were 4 roasts on offer along with tatties - boiled, mashed, roasted,...
