Stayed here on Easter weekend with a large group of hill walking friends and I can't say enough good things about the hotel. The Location is amazing with the most fabulous walks in the surrounding area and the hotel really caters for walkers. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff (we knew everyone by name by the time we...

My husband and I spent a long weekend here for Connemara Half Marathon race in2014. The location was perfect for the race. The hotel has good dinner and breakfast food, perfect for pre-race fuel. The location is far away from big cities, then again, if you want to stay in big city, stay in Dublin. If you are not racing,...

Only "problem" was that we weren't aware that there was an old part with rooms as well as a new. Given the choice I would have preferred a room in the old part... More...

We arrived late on Friday evening, it was dark and raining. We got a warm welcome and were shown to our room which was an annexe room around the back of the hotel. Sliding doors led straight out of the room to a car park at the back so we were able to bring the car around and unload straight...

We met our friends here in October and stayed for one night. Booked on-line and requested a room with a sea view. We had a fabulous room, our friends who were on a 3-night break were not so lucky. There is an old part to this hotel so request a room in the modern side. However the services were 100%,...

Great value for money, the staff are efficient, friendly and very help full. Ok, its an old hotel and decor may not suit everyone's taste buts its warm, clean, tons of hot water and the food is good. This is the second time I stayed there this year on both occasions the breakfasts were very good, if you like the...
