My wife and I stayed here for one night in June before we flew back to states out of Shannon the next day. It was a nice clean place with great decor. Dierdre was a wonderful and attentive hostess who made great recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was top notch. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was a good...

We were warmly welcomed and noticed attention to just every detail. The rooms were well appointed, spacious for a bed and breakfast, and the atmosphere very pleasant. The beds were comfortable, all was very neat and tidy. There was a lovely common lounge area that even included free internet access. Each room included a directory to local services prepared by...

Our large family group ended a 10 day vacation here before we flew out of the Shannon airport. There is no finer place to stay in the entire Shannon/Bunratty area. Deirdre & Freddy have created the perfect B&B. We highly recommend the Avarest and will definitely stay there again when our travels take us back to Ireland.

We started our Ireland vacation in Bunratty. We loved the west coast of Ireland and all the beautiful sights. The Avarest B & B was a lovely Inn. The rooms were very nicely appointed and Deirdre & Freddy were wonderful hosts. Deirdre makes a delicious big Irish breakfast with lots of food to choose from. Their children are very sweet...

There's a reason why this is the top rated B&B in the Bunratty area. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and very clean. The Irish breakfast really stood out as the food was outstanding. Diedra went out of her way to prepare special meal requests for us. I guess there's not many Americans who appreciate blood pudding! Diedra also gave...

Yes, they are definitely there. Every bed and breakfast we stayed at was the hosts actual home so there is little chance of any B&B being 'closed' or empty. I'm not sure about contacting them by email or via their website, but I was just there last week. They were talking about the start of the season and how they would be having a full house from our stay going forward.

It may be a comfort to know that when we made our reservations we never confirmed them. Regardless, when we arrived at every B&B we were fully expected and welcomed including Avarest.

I think people in Ireland do things differently than we do in the states. I wouldn't worry.

We paid cash but not sure what other types of payment they accept. If you contact Deidre at the B&B she would more than happy to help you.
