I wouldn't recommend this guesthouse. There are far nicer places to stay in Kilkee for the same price. Room was very outdated overlooking the back of the guesthouse onto a flat roof. There was dye on the bed and torn curtains. Really old furniture and the bed was extremely hard. It had a nice bathroom with an awful shower. Wifi...

I popped into the strand for a lunch time bite with my nieces recently. The decor is beautiful and very fitting for a seaside town. It was not overly busy and we were able to pick out where we wanted to sit. The menu was nice and there was a good variety for light lunch time snacks. There was 4...

We visited Kilkee over the weekend, and stopped off at this restaurant for some lunch. We ordered some sandwiches and chips, and the club sandwich was the worst I had in a long time. It was so dry, there was no spread, mayo or even butter on it. It was literally slices of toast, with boiled egg, dry chicken, and...

Please be aware of the lack of food hygiene in the kitchen of this establushment. My niece declared that she found a crunchy 'something' in her mouth as she are her Vailets cheesecake. To my horror I found a huge fish scale on her tongue on informing the son of the owber Johnny Redmond, his attitude was ' she doesn't...

I popped in for a drink.. the Guinness was great the view of the beach was perfect, the live music was brilliant and the staff were friendly can't wait to go back. We sat outside to watch the sun set over the bay it's a lovely place. If you go their you'll love it.

Over night stay here. Room was very spacious, with a stunning view. Unfortunately the bathroom had a musty sweaty feet smell. The place is ideal for the beach and therein lies the problem . It was noisy both in the guest house and outside. Breakfast was average.

Kilkee's horse-shoe beach in what can only be descibed as the manager of "THE STRAND" it shouldnt be like this-the weather he was referring too. Not the idyllic landscape in front of us, True most of the time the weather isnt the best, however when it does get it right, it is marvellous. We had a little stroll around the town...

We came off the beach and were delighted to get window seats at this bistro. Really nice views, gorgeous chowder, fast and friendly service. Perfect for a quick bite with good views. Relaxed atmosphere.

Stopped for a night as we were travelling through and really enjoyed our stay. We just stumbled on this place and decided to take a look. The room we had was all the way at the top and we had a great view of the beach from our tilt out window. The room was more like a suite with a...
