We stayed last weekend and found the hotel very poor and missing a lot of important elements. On arriving the only source of food was found at the tea-rooms, no sandwiches at all and only option a scone and coffee of which was way to expensive. The bar was poorly stocked with a lot of basic beers missing, forcing us...

Very poor management. All it seems they are interested in is your money with no effort made on service. We paid a 4/5 star price at approx $190.00 for a I night stay, and revived a 2 star hotel and service. When we wanted to use the shower in our room, it could not have operated correctly in some time....

Nice place The Hugh Cairncross bedroom was very comfortable relaxing and quiet. Could easily have sat there all afternoon overlooking the garden with the Irish times and a jameson Staff very naturally friendly and attentive Great meal in the evening. Again, very relaxing warm room with good background music and good food Great experience Will be back

My Son and is future wife booked this hotel for their wedding reception, so we booked in for three nights. 1 night before the wedding and 2 nights after the event. Our room was fantastic with a 4 poster bed and a marvellous on suite bathroom, the water was always red hot. The room was cleaned and tidied and new...

Spent the weekend here for a wedding of friends and it was fantastic from start to finish. The rooms were spacious and fitting for the venue and the grounds were very beautiful. The wedding room was perfect with several alcoves around the side rooms to spend time before the wedding meals. The food was excellent and the waiting and bar...

Just home from a lovely restful stay at Barberstown. The setting is rural while still being just a short drive from Dublin. The rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. We found all the staff we encountered to be professional and helpful. The food in the tea rooms was reasonably priced and very tasty. It's a pity that there isn't...

Barberstown Castle was not what I had originally expected. That isn't to say it isn't wonderful, it is. There is, in fact, a castle but It is the smallest castle I've ever seen. This castle was obviously built for protection. Over the years, wings were added to the original structure. It is less in size that a regular hotel but...

Stayed overnight attending wedding nearby. Nicest hotel i've visited. Lovely and helpful staff. Luxurious and beautiful rooms with comfy beds. Would recommend to anyone. Best value for money i've ever gotten in a hotel!

Beautiful grounds, friendly professional staff, and the Keep make this a wonderful experience. Rooms are spacious and elegant. Unlike other castle hotels, the 800 year old Keep is accessible to residents to view. Amazing. Ted, the owner, takes great pride in extending every courtesy to his guests. Delicious breakfast with a wide variety to choose from.
