Detailed Reviews
Marguerite goes out of her way to make you feel at home in her B&B in Kiliney. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and I was sad when my stay there ended. The rooms are also very clean and pretty and the shower has the best water pressure I have ever found in Ireland!

We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B. We stayed for one night and then returned for two nights at the end of our holiday. It is not far from the ferry teminal at Dun Laoghaire (approx. 15 minutes drive) and we used it as a base to explore the Wicklow Mountains and then caught the DART in to Dublin from here (30 minutes to Dublin on the DART). Marguerite is just the loveilest lady and really cares about her guests. The rooms were very modern with big beds and great showers. The breakfast was excellent and Marguerite made sure you had everything you needed. You probably require a car to stay at this B&B really as it is in a residential area. The DART is approximately 20 to 30 minute walk as are the closest shops and pubs.

Glenaire Lodge was a great place to stay. Marguerite wasn't happy unless we were happy. She gave my husband and I advice on places to visit each day of our 7-day stay there. She even gave us a ride to the DART station most mornings! Staying at Glenaire was like staying at the home of a friend.
We paid Euro 39.25 per night, per person. The food was delicious and plentiful. The room was decorated nicely and clean. There is no curfew at Glenaire; Guests are given a key to let themselves in and out. Be prepared to walk a bit (including uphill) if you are without a car when you stay there. My husband and I walked about 25-30 minutes to the Fitzpatrick Hotel the first day we got there, just to get dinner. Dinner was about Euro 25 each.

Beautiful rooms but most of all, a fabulous hostess! Marguerite made our first glimpse of Ireland the best. Breakfast was fresh and wonderful! I can not recommend this place more highly!

Marguarite is fantastic. The traditional Irish breakfast in her lovely dining room each morning was great - I miss it! She was very good about letting us know the places to see - the little village of Dalkey is a must and also Johnny Foxes Pub (wonderful Irish coffee here!). Just be sure to have a car when staying here - it is a fair drive from the city center. Enjoy!

A lovely guesthouse not far from Dalkey and Killiney, villages near to the port of Dun Laoghaire. Beautifully light and airy rooms - laminate floors and a lovely brand new bathroom. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of traditional Irish or fruit/ organic yoghurt etc. Marguerite is so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again if I were in the area. Make sure you get directions via email from her - the b&b isn't signposted at all and doesn't even have a sign outsid to let you know it's a b&b!! €45/ person/ night in high season but well worth it.

I can't speak highly enough of this B&B! My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Marguerite is the perfect hostess, very friendly, the room was lovely, clean, the breakfasts were delicious, (we especially liked the smoked salmon and eggs), and Marguerite was so helpful with recommending things to go do and see, places to eat, even went out of her way to find us a great bus tour of the beautiful Wicklow mountains, even gave us a lift to the bus.....this is by far the most lovely place i have stayed and cant wait to go back. Definitly a "home from home"!

To say that Marguerite was the perfect hostess dosn't seem to do the lady justice.
Not only did she provide a lovely comfortable guest house, she even pointed us in the right direction and helped plan our weekend to ensure our time there was as relaxed as possible.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we were made to feel that it was our home so we could do as we pleased.
The breakfast was as much as we could eat from cereals to cooked meals.
It is not going over the top to insist that nothing was too much trouble for anybody at Glenaire lodge.
The location is ideal for seeing Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare etc and offers everything you can imagine Ireland to from top restauraunts, traditional Irish music, shopping not to mention the beautiful scenery.
It was my partners birthday and Margurite even bought her a cake as well as chocolate for my children - What a lady
I can not recommend this place to stay enough,

Stopped at Glenaire last week, its definately home from home, marguerite is just so lovely, she goes out of her way to help, our breakfast was freshly cooked by the lady herself! Rooms are light and airy with a lovely view of the Dublin mountains, we will definately be going back.
