PROS
1. Property: The rooms are huge and aptly bundled for all the requirements for a comfortable stay.
2. Pool : We stayed in Luxury Room and the pool here was sufficient to accommodate 2-3 people at a time. The water was clean the staff ensured that it was kept that way everyday.
3. Food : One of the strongest point if this resort is its food. Whether its set Breakfast menu or anything ordered from the Room service menu. We ordered juices and mocktails and they were always freshly made and served. The service was prompt and courteous.
4. Safari : You can book a safari from the resort and its strongly recommended that you do so. You will get to know why I say this :) . Its a little expensive than a booking from outside but personally it was all worth it. The guides know the forest well. Nandan Singh Rawatji made sure our Safari trip was fun and exciting.
5. Ambience : You are in middle of the jungle so the only thing you will hear is crickets. With individual rooms located away from each other, you get adequate privacy.
6. Service : The resort ensured that the service you get is personal and prompt.
Cons
Its a jungle so expect to see some wildlife around your room.
We already have planned another trip in the season and will stay here.
Right from the pick up and the beautiful drive up the forest terrain to reach the hotel, the flawless check in, the run down of every feature available with the time slots, the walk along to the room and the room your.. And they instantly make you feel at home. It’s not just any jungle resort, they’ve paid close attention to every detail to ensure that nature is imbibed in its truest form - right from the logo all the way to its branding of being true to tradition and being more than tigers.
The rooms are clean, well maintained and every single detail is taken into account, right from multiple bottles of sanitisers to even insect repellents. The products are all housed in eco friendly reusable bottles to do away from single use plastic. The water here is pristine and each room has their own multi system geysers set up.
If you’ve chosen the rooms with the day bed and the sit outs, do use them to read a book or to just enjoy a moment of solitude when a few hundred birds will chirp around you. Do take the nature walk with the team of naturalists available in house. It’ll be a small trek through the village and into the forest all the way upto a stream and a monsoon river. Do speak to them well in advance about the safaris and for booking the same.
The food is another chapter altogether. Each meal is curated with love and a sense of attention to detail that’ll leave you baffled. Each meal has a completely different set of cuisines and dishes, from the local cuisine to Thai and sometimes Chinese too. It’s a sensory treat three times a day.
Do try the lemongrass tea when you stop by for tea between 5 and 6:30. They have a different variety of snacks each day to make it a truly unique experience. The thatched roofs, the golden era songs, the snacks served in tiny bowls, fresh tea customised to your orders - It’s a beautiful way to end the day and head towards the bonfire after this.
Patlidun is a stay that needs no second though! Was amazed with the hospitality and serenity.

This tranquillity doesn't feel overwhelming as the expanse of the place, many activities on and off the property, and its staff's attention to detail make you immediately feel at home.
Imran, Sunil Ganesh helped us plan our safari and find transportation back to Delhi.
We didn’t get chance for nature activities like a small hike to nearby villages, but I highly recommend this .
The food is very tasty and I highly recommended to try local Kumaoni food.
The property's architecture, down to the proportion of rooms and the choice of materials, is impressive. Their choice of playlists and subtle proactive help by the staff shows attention to detail.
We had opted for Luxury room which had glass openings on ceiling which was an amazing experience to watch starts while lying in bed.
The outdoor pool area was amazing but not heated one so couldn’t use it.
Overall Experience is Superb and special shoutout to IMRAN. He is the naturalist there and has excellent knowledge about the flora and fauna of the region.

Pros- 1) courteous staff
2) rusty cottages
3) feels close to nature
4) location
5) jeep drive to resort
Cons- 1) whole property was empty, only 2 rooms were occupied, still they didn't upgrade the room, although i was requesting not demanding to Mr Abhishek Gupta which he decently refused. Even taj and all big chains upgrade if available.
2) they dnt care about your special occasion, it was my birthday, which was informed to them prior but no special efforts were put. They were charging almost everything like 1200 bucks for half pound cake, no deco from there side. Wo to bhala ho inke restaurant manager ka jo sharm k mare ek cake le aaye 200gms ka, thanks for gesture. I stayed at solluna after that they decorated the room with balloon and also provided a 1 pound cake and a small gift too.
3) their nature walk and organic garden tour is worthless and not even worth mentioning even they know about it thats why they dnt emphasize also, dnt even consider it as any activity.
4) they charged 18k for 1 night with full board but that doesn't justify the service and amenities. Toiletries are below average and just refilled with dnt know what? Atleast put some products which have the brand name, ingredients with expiry over it, i was sceptical abt the quality so i used my own. Minibar has just 2 cokes, 1 juice, 10rs choc and soda.
5) food was just average, change the chef he doesn't know a word about desserts. Bhapa doi was just horrible, only dessert which i cud have in 2 days was icecream. the maggie of high tea was such that a nursery class kid wud make it better, and thandi chai kaun serve karta hai fir bolne pe usko reheat kr k le aaye, high tea was horrible. Restaurant desperately need an AC, dnt give lame excuses that you dint install AC because you wanted to give it an old cultural look.
6) lastly put some common sense into your brain and ask yourself which driver wud b able to afford Rs500/night dormitory excluding food, which u charge. I took a cab from Delhi. They earn less than or around 500rs a day. Usually its complimentary everywhere.
Thanks for returning my charger which i forgot and took the next day while returning from solluna, marchula.

The Jungle cottage is outstanding as the view is of direct forest while you relax in your jacuzzi.
The food was exceptional with the menu and the zero with which the chef cooks and the servers host.
A must visit for one of a kind memory.
Truly as the tag line “tradition beyond tigers”

The property has literally worked upon every detail:
1. Every person right from the parking to the resort knew it was our anniversary & they started greeting us warmly. Which is actually very special.
2. Every driver had a basic presence of mind like if the guest is on a call & vehicle is on the move they will stop the vehicle before the no signal zone so that you can complete your conversation.
The property may look a bit expensive while booking but let me tell you they have a staff of 80 people running a property of 18 rooms.
Guest delight seems to be there ultimate motive.
Kudos to the entire team that conceptualized this property.
And one thing that they don't write in there amenities is PEACE!
KEEP UP THE Good Work.
Property is the example how nature & luxury can compliment each other.
Special shout out to
Mr. Bhuwan Joshi
Mr. Imran Khan
Mr. Ganesh Chimwal
Mr. Ganesh Arya
The stay and resort is fantastic in their service quality, food & the overall hospitality they provide.
To start off, the front desk manager was pretty prompt in sending a detailed pdf a day before our journey and told us about the location of car parking from which their own cars will pick us up till the resort.
The journey till resort is a bit bumpy, at 1st thought we were becoming a bit nervy as we were actually travelling to the middle of nowhere! :D
But all of it subsided once we were inside the property. We were greeted by Naturalist and Mr. Farhan who managed things very well during our visit.
Post the refreshing welcome drink we were given a tour of the resort, and we were quite fascinated about being so connected with nature and nearby forest as the whole property is based on experiencing forest ambience.
The room was outstanding, it had a sitting area in the bedroom which was so amazing, we loved the décor and overall room was quite spacious. We also really loved the food, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. All the servers are so polite, and they just knew what we wanted. We have travelled across the globe however we were really impressed by the service of staff. Do try the Kumaoni Thali, we loved it!
Resort also offers a High Tea where delicious snacks along with Tea is served which was again brilliant in taste. They also took us to a Nature walk and we managed to see exotic birds like Hornbill during that. They also have a nice game room set up where one can spend their time in the property.
In Summary, it was a perfect getaway at Patlidun where one unfolds away from City's hustle bustle in a pristine Forest environment.
Rooms are well decorated and traditional look.
Staffs are well behaved and very supportive.
We will revisit here for sure .
Restaurants are very hygienic and foods are of traditional and western both
Very friendly staff and especially the foods seemed to have been served directly from farm to plate. So freshly made also the parking space has been well allocated in a seperate place where the staff is present 24 hrs.
