Okay. Be prepared for a long read. My husband and me stayed at the resort from 2nd Feb 2021 to 6th Feb 2021. While booking the place a few people advised me against it as the location of the resort is a bit further than the other resorts like Taj. I am so glad I didn't listen and went with ahead with my booking. Jungle Safaris is my favorite holiday. I love the serenity and peace one can find there and of course the privilege of seeing a Tiger and other beautiful animals in their natural habitat. While going for a Safari is the highlight if the holiday, staying at a good resort and basically unwinding is equally important for us. We look for good location, food and of course the over all experience. Paatlidun Safari Lodge meets all these expectations. They have 3 catagory's of rooms. We stayed at the Bush Cottage. I stayed in room 201. I LOVED IT. Its perfect for a couple . The room is spacious yet cozy. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The entire place is so well planned. You get the best possible amenities and yet so close to nature. The entire staff, the person working taking care of the plants, The ladies cleaning the open areas, the Chef , the captain of the restaurant, the gentlemen serving at the restaurant the Naturalist each and every person went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They went out of their way to make our holiday memorable. The naturalists Sunit and Manoj were so attentive . They know I am quite eager to see wild animals and when there was a herd of elephants in the valley below our room, they rushed to inform me so that I dont miss the opportunity to see such a beautiful sight. Our Nature walk in the forest around with resort with Sunit was so amazing. Now back in the city my mind keeps going back to the beautiful sunrise I could see just lying in the bed and listen to the birds chirping. It was indeed a small piece of heaven for us. A humble request , if you want to go and play loud music on a holiday and make too much noise, then dont go here. This place is so beautiful and to keep its beauty intact one needs to respect it. Go here to be one with nature and to unwind. You wont regret it.

Way ahead of other resorts at similar price near Jim corbett. Privacy of hoteliers is given high importance. I stated in bush cottage & premium luxury room, both of them have private spaces where I can connect to nature. Bush cottage has jacuzzi that I enjoyed the most with my wife, also the kumoyini look n feel of the room added more charm to the room. Luxury cottage has pool though little hard to enjoy this in winter but we didn't miss the chance, also sky bed was one of the unique experience, sleeping in a jungle below the stars on luxury beds, not something that you generally get. Hotel service was the best I have seen till now, you order anything at any time & you get in next 10 minutes. Food was good, Italian mushroom dish served in buffet was amazing, also you can try Kumoyini thali.
Resort also offer free snacks n tea in evening, other than that there are plenty of activities like stone painting, table tennis, air hockey to enjoy good time with your partner or family.

truly amazing lodge.

exceptional service from the moment we stepped down from the car.

they pick u from their parking near town and take u up a 750 meter ride which is very bumpy as it is rough terrain gives u a taste of the rustic hotel u are going to stay at.

as soon as we reached we were given a welcome drink and put a customary tikka on the forehead. the check in was very quick. a kind naturalist took to a open lounge upstairs gave us a nice talk about the hotel the activities and the essence of the architecture which was inspired from traditional local culture.

we booked the premium luxury cottage it was amazing. had a neem plant at the entrance with a colorful door to the cottage designed like the olden days. there was a nice living room a very spacious bedroom and an even more spacious bathroom which had a bath tub deigned to look like it is from a 100 years ago. there is a very spacious pool area which we did not use as water was very cold. the best part is the terrace which has a bed for 2 with a mosquito net on it. overall the room was super exciting.

we went for a safari and came back to high tea in an open area which had super snacks and service. the masala tea and lemongrass tea was accompanied with Chana chaat, puffs to dip in the tea, fried pakodas with very well made mint chutney and few other accompaniments. the macaroni was too spicy and I did not care for it. it was a nice place to sit and chill and be pampered.

they have a nice kids club with ice hockey and table tennis and some colors for kids to keep themselves busy.

we went to the room and chilled and came back for dinner. food overall whether it was lunch dinner high tea or breakfast was truly amazing. the food was made fresh we had a few local dishes too and were truly impressed with the service. our favorite dishes were gajar halwa, the local raagi roti, Palak subji, paneer kids enjoyed, the food was made fresh and did not taste like it was just tossed in with pre-made gravy. overall very impressed.

only one thing on last day I requested few lassis and was not told it is not included and would be chargeable we paid 2500 for 8 lassis I don't mind the charge but guest should be informed if anything is chargeable.

the night was amazing we called for a sigri and hung out on the terrace enjoying the stars and talking. the most amazing experience was to sleep on the terrace in the mosquito covered bed looking at the moon and stars and hearing the sounds of nature. we even requested them to put an extra bed for my daughter which they kindly did. this was the highlight of our trip.

when we left they asked me to fill a feddback form about the stay and I told them they need better table tennis rackets and they told each other 2 times taking my criticism seriously.

overall is an amazing place to connect with nature in a luxurious environment with great food and service.

Our stay at Paatlidun was beyond excellence! The property is beautifully maintained, away from the hustle bustle of the city amidst a beautiful valley which makes it all the more alluring. Each and every staff member is extremely courteous and ready to extend themselves to help the guests in every possible way. Rooms are spacious and have a earthy and rustic tone, kumaoni food served in the restaurant is a gastronomical treat! All praises for Paatlidun! Each day spent there brings you more close to nature. It was certainly a memorable stay!

When me and my wife decided to book Paatlidun for our 6 month anniversary, we didn't know we are in for a treat! We booked Luxury Cottage with Plunge pool.

The stay and resort is fantastic in their service quality, food & the overall hospitality they provide.
To start off, the front desk manager was pretty prompt in sending a detailed pdf a day before our journey and told us about the location of car parking from which their own cars will pick us up till the resort.
The journey till resort is a bit bumpy, at 1st thought we were becoming a bit nervy as we were actually travelling to the middle of nowhere! :D
But all of it subsided once we were inside the property. We were greeted by Naturalist and Mr. Farhan who managed things very well during our visit.
Post the refreshing welcome drink we were given a tour of the resort, and we were quite fascinated about being so connected with nature and nearby forest as the whole property is based on experiencing forest ambience.

The room was outstanding, it had a sitting area in the bedroom which was so amazing, we loved the décor and overall room was quite spacious. We also really loved the food, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. All the servers are so polite, and they just knew what we wanted. We have travelled across the globe however we were really impressed by the service of staff. Do try the Kumaoni Thali, we loved it!

Resort also offers a High Tea where delicious snacks along with Tea is served which was again brilliant in taste. They also took us to a Nature walk and we managed to see exotic birds like Hornbill during that. They also have a nice game room set up where one can spend their time in the property.

In Summary, it was a perfect getaway at Patlidun where one unfolds away from City's hustle bustle in a pristine Forest environment.

We stayed in Paatlidun for four nights during weekdays and it was an amazing experience from the start. The property is in forest away from all the hustle and bustle of a tourist town so if you are planning for a relaxed trip and some trips of Safaris then this is the place to select. You might catch a celebrity staying here since they are a regular here. Let me share the pros and cons here and I have been to Corbett number of times and have stayed in many resorts nearby so my review will be based on comparison with other resorts aswell.

PROS
1. Property: The rooms are huge and aptly bundled for all the requirements for a comfortable stay.
2. Pool : We stayed in Luxury Room and the pool here was sufficient to accommodate 2-3 people at a time. The water was clean the staff ensured that it was kept that way everyday.
3. Food : One of the strongest point if this resort is its food. Whether its set Breakfast menu or anything ordered from the Room service menu. We ordered juices and mocktails and they were always freshly made and served. The service was prompt and courteous.
4. Safari : You can book a safari from the resort and its strongly recommended that you do so. You will get to know why I say this :) . Its a little expensive than a booking from outside but personally it was all worth it. The guides know the forest well. Nandan Singh Rawatji made sure our Safari trip was fun and exciting.
5. Ambience : You are in middle of the jungle so the only thing you will hear is crickets. With individual rooms located away from each other, you get adequate privacy.
6. Service : The resort ensured that the service you get is personal and prompt.

Cons
Its a jungle so expect to see some wildlife around your room.

We already have planned another trip in the season and will stay here.

Excellent property, nice scenic rooms and amenities. I stayed there for 2 days in bush cottage.
Pros- 1) courteous staff
2) rusty cottages
3) feels close to nature
4) location
5) jeep drive to resort

Cons- 1) whole property was empty, only 2 rooms were occupied, still they didn't upgrade the room, although i was requesting not demanding to Mr Abhishek Gupta which he decently refused. Even taj and all big chains upgrade if available.

2) they dnt care about your special occasion, it was my birthday, which was informed to them prior but no special efforts were put. They were charging almost everything like 1200 bucks for half pound cake, no deco from there side. Wo to bhala ho inke restaurant manager ka jo sharm k mare ek cake le aaye 200gms ka, thanks for gesture. I stayed at solluna after that they decorated the room with balloon and also provided a 1 pound cake and a small gift too.

3) their nature walk and organic garden tour is worthless and not even worth mentioning even they know about it thats why they dnt emphasize also, dnt even consider it as any activity.

4) they charged 18k for 1 night with full board but that doesn't justify the service and amenities. Toiletries are below average and just refilled with dnt know what? Atleast put some products which have the brand name, ingredients with expiry over it, i was sceptical abt the quality so i used my own. Minibar has just 2 cokes, 1 juice, 10rs choc and soda.

5) food was just average, change the chef he doesn't know a word about desserts. Bhapa doi was just horrible, only dessert which i cud have in 2 days was icecream. the maggie of high tea was such that a nursery class kid wud make it better, and thandi chai kaun serve karta hai fir bolne pe usko reheat kr k le aaye, high tea was horrible. Restaurant desperately need an AC, dnt give lame excuses that you dint install AC because you wanted to give it an old cultural look.

6) lastly put some common sense into your brain and ask yourself which driver wud b able to afford Rs500/night dormitory excluding food, which u charge. I took a cab from Delhi. They earn less than or around 500rs a day. Usually its complimentary everywhere.

Thanks for returning my charger which i forgot and took the next day while returning from solluna, marchula.

Paatlidun has always been my place of choice to go for short trips from Delhi. The location is perfectly isolated deep inside beautiful kumano hills. Its location near to Dhikala zone gate is convenient for people looking to chase big cats. We have stayed in both categories of rooms with and without the pool and both of them are unique and tasteful in their own way. This is easily one of the most luxurious well equipped secluded resort in all of North India. My family is fond of small luxury boutique hotels which are away from commercialisation of Taj’s and Oberoi’s and this one our favourite.

The reception is very quaint and airy. The entire property has no boundary walls as they are focused towards preserving natural habitats for wild animals. Extremely polite and dedicated staff. Amazing food and very knowledgeable naturalist makes the experience even better.

I am sure I would be returning soom for the third time

Visited Paatlidun with family. We booked their premium most suite. Their room service & general hospitality is great but it’s not a five star accommodation as declared by them. But it’s definitely a great 3 star resort. Breakfast buffet is mediocre & there is a serious communication gap between the Sales team and the guests. Their check in time is 2pm but the Safari leaves the accommodation between 1 & 1:30pm. So ideally their check- in time should be by 12noon. Their lunch buffet is regular and ordinary but exorbitantly priced & they force you to leave for the Safari before lunch time. Their quality of bed and table linen is good but for a 3 star category. They have a beautiful sitooterie (thulkudi) but the monkey menace is crazy. They don’t have any attendant there so it’s pretty unsafe to sit and unwind with tea/coffee and snacks.
However , the staff around the resort is courteous, attentive & prompt.

Dear Guest, We appreciate your feedback for our staff courtesy & rooms being good and at the same time concerned for your stay with us was unsatisfactory. Working in remote destinations have its challenges, though we breif all our guest in regards to timing of all activities and safari to avoid last minute rush , well buffet and few services were not up to your expectation and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Paatlidun is last property in in core area of the forest & wildlife and monekys are really not controllable , we ensure every guest is befied to avoid feeding food to wildlife to avoid this issues but despite of same at times guest feeds them out of the love . We have noted your concerns and will see , what best can be done to avoid inconvience to other guest too . Also in your next visit you may find good spread of buffet breakfast too . Assure you, you will be looked personally by me & my team in your next visit, please doe visit us soon. Thank you, Best Regards. Satpal Narray General Manager gm@paatlidun.com

Paatlidun Safari Lodge, is probably one of the most comfortable, warm & gorgeous property we've stayed in. Residing in midst of the jungles, it's a perfect amalgamation of wilderness and luxury. Right from the first car ride from the parking to the resort, the warm welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms, the morning nature walk, the delish food, the sunsets at high-tea everything was so well thought & curated keeping in mind every guest's need. We even spotted some beautiful deers right outside our cottage room. Their attention to details & love for kumaoni culture is commendable.
A special shout out to the head chef Harish, the manager Farhan, Ganesh from reception & nature walk and the entire staff for taking such good care of us. We honestly have had the most beautiful experience because of the extraordinary & warm staff.
We, 200% recommend everyone to stay at this property whenever you plan to visit Ramnagar, this place has won my family's heart & it has become a memory which will be forever engraved in our hearts & minds.
Thank you for this unforgettable experience.
