We visited Oughtrand as a family of 5 Mum, Dad, son and Nana and grandad. Nana and grandad had been visiting Oughtrand for 25-30 years fishing and we came to visit friends who lived in town.
The house was lovely and very welcoming. Not sure We would be coming to this part of Ireland again but would surely stay in this accommodation again if We did.

Needed an overnight B&B stay, saw the "Vacancy" sign and so glad we called in. The room was very clean, comfortable, spacious with plenty of little extra's in the room. In a good location (not 5 mins walk to Oughterard town centre). The breakfast room is delightful with an interesting interior, and the breakfast itself was yum ! Christa is a lovely host, who made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Christa’s husband and son own one of the two butcher shops in Oughterard and her breakfast sausage and bacon are food of the gods! As others have noted, Christa is a warm, welcoming and hospitable hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at Fough East and expect to stay there again when we return to Oughterard.

My daughter and parents stayed for 2 night in late June and we all agreed it was our favorite place to stay. Krista made us feel welcome and at home immediately. Great breakfast every morning with lots of options. I personally loved the irish breakfast. The B&B is very close to the town center, really clean roons with comfortable beds and is just a warm and inviting environment. We also enjoyed hearing Krista talk about the beauty of Connemara and I could not have agreed with her more. We will be back and our first stop will be Fough East B&B..a wonderful gem!

The first B&B on our hillwalking trip to Connemara. What a wonderful place. The owner is most welcoming. The room on the ground floor was perfect, clean, cosy and well looked after. We appreciated the little personal touch and detail.
The common room is a nice living room with books available. The garden was a delight especially with the sunny weather we had.we met the little dog of the house in the garden. She was adorable and joined us while we enjoyed a coffee on the wood terrass. The breakfast was delicious...pudding was very tasty ...the owner is also the town butcher...and winner of prizes...you can tell why ! A place to remember...really ;)

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for one night in july. Christa our host gave us a very friendly an warm welcome. There is plenty of parking space available right in front of the house. Our room as well as the breakfast was lovely . We enjoyed our stay at this lovely decorated B&B with a very nice atmosphere thanks to Christa. A great place to stay in Connemara. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home at this beautiful B&B. Christa was the perfect hostess and gave us lots of information about the local area. Our room was very nicely decorated, very clean and very comfortable. The entire house was bright and clean. Breakfast every morning was wonderfully prepared and delicious. The entire property was lovely and well maintained, and the large parking area in front was very convenient. It was a very short walk into the centre of Oughterard, so it was the perfect location for us. We stayed for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this very friendly town and all the surrounding area. It would be hard to top this B&B.

My daughter, sister & I stayed at Fough East B&B on our way over to the Arann Islands. The owner, Krista, was very accommodating & made certain we had everything we would needed. The rooms were very nicely decorated & the linens were
great. Krista prepared a fantastic Irish breakfast. The whole house is full of light and very comfortable. There is a den for guests that is nicely furnished & very inviting. I am a gardener and I was in awe of her landscape, gardens & especially the “wild flower garden”. Wish we would have had more time to spend in this joyful place. It is in walking distance of everything in the charming town of Oughterard.

Our stay could not have been lovelier, Krista was so warm, welcoming and hospitable! Beautiful garden, comfy beds & wonderful Irish breakfast. Received excellent recommendations from Krista for dinner & about the surrounding area. Wish we could have stayed longer, it is a jewel!

"There are two ground floor + three rooms upstairs. The ground floor rooms face the street, so necessary to draw the drapes for privacy."
