Marie kindly waited up for our late arrival (11.00pm) and had another group arriving even later than us. We felt our hosts were polite but... reserved, and not as friendly as other Irish B&B owners we had met. The B&B is in a remote, peaceful location, so a car is necessary, and a little hard to find in the dark....

The instructions brought us right to it after a stressful negociation of Galway on race week, and immediately we were offered a cup of tea in the conservatory to refresh ourselves. We had an enormous ground floor room with beautiful picture window overlooking the lovely garden, sheep and the lough beyond, which I think everyone else did too, as all...

This place is just a few minutes out of town. The folks have been doing it for a long time, and are experts! The location is lovely. The owner was able to print out boarding passes, and the breakfast was perfect. The sheep dog demo was fantastic! Amazing! We did run out of hot water on the 2nd shower, and...

We think that Michael and Maria Healy are the most genuine of Irish people. Michael is a farmer as well as a cheerful mine host,so he and I have a lot in common. Maria is always there with a smile . When we arrived she brought out a cup of tea and home-baked cakes within minutes : a lovely welcome!...

Me and my mother were driving through Oughterard when we choice to stop cause we learned Grace O'Mallory castle was near by but it was closed. We decided to stay in a B & B and followed the sign that said Corrib Wave House hoping they had an extra room. The place is off the main road and has an...

an excellent sized room with stunning views. A warm welcome with s cup of tea and cake set the right tone for our overnight stay. Breakfast was cooked to order and enjoyable. The only fault was a rather old Mira shower which didn't deliver much water or warmth in the morning of departure. If you love fishing you would love...

Loved this real B&B run by a local family. My room was large and clean. The host is an authentic Irish man with a wonderful sense of humour. Feels like you're in your uncle's holiday house. The view is fantastic. We went out for some beer and the host gave us a lift. We got a taxi back. Pretty close....

Stayed one night with my family, on our way to Northern Ireland. Nice and confortable rooms with good wifi. Nice staff, great breakfast. Although not quite easy to locate trough directions given, we managed to find it. Near the lake, astonishing sunset view from our room window!

We booked this B&B last minute when we decided that we didn't want to stay in the city and stayed an extra night everything was so lovely. The man and woman of the house were so friendly and knew everything we needed to know about the area. Can't recommend this location enough.

Corrib Wave was our first stop along our journey through Ireland. It was beautifully tranquil with gorgeous flowers. The view out our window was of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious with way too many choices. Michael gave us great tips on places to visit and eat close by.
