We wished that we had stayed here instead of Dublin. There is frequent service into Dublin, the setting is lovely (right on the harbour front), the room was delightfully decorated, the staff friendly, the dinner excellent and the breakfast the best we had in Ireland. The town is bustling with shops and restaurants.

For over 20 years the King Sitric restaurant has perfected the art of cooking fresh fish . Served by intelligent polite waiters in a pleasant room with spectacular views . No gimmicks , no hanging nets or lobster pots , no nonsense . This is a real restaurant run by real people , believe me this is the real deal...

For mains 2 of us had black sole and I had the monkfish. All were excellent, couldn't fault any of the dishes, apart from one slight complaint that the Black...

The owners are warm and friendly people always looking to please you. The rooms are far more comfortable than the average in hotels of the same category. I also recommend the breakfast held in the restaurant with a breathtaking view looking over the seashore. Not mentioning the restaurant that has been granted the title of best seafood restaurant of the...

We stayed here on Wednesday for one nights bed and breakfast. We stayed in a beautiful 1st floor room with fantastic sea views. We had originally booked a room on the ground floor but were given a complimentary upgrade when we checked in. We don't eat either fish or meat but Joan and Aidan went out of their way to...

Little and comfortable hotel, with a great restaurant and nice rooms with sea views. The staff is really nice and they help you in everything they can. The hotel is located in a beautiful place next to the sea. You have the howth cliffs and the little port right next to you. I definately reccomend this fantastic hotel!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Established in 1971, Aidan and Joan MacManus have earned an international reputation for fresh seafood in their harbour-side restaurant in the picturesque fishing village of Howth. In 1999, they extensively rebuilt their old Harbour Master's house, relocating the restaurant to the first floor with panoramic seaviews, and adding eight guest bedrooms. All the bedrooms are named after Lighthouses and have sea-views. DINING Fresh fish landed daily on Howth Pier, oysters and mussels from the west, lobster caught by our own fishermen in Balscadden Bay are among our specialities. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our East Cafe Bar while choosing your wine from our outstanding Wine List. National Hospitality Awards Best Seafood Restaurant 2014. We are situated in the golfing heartland of North County Dublin and for sailors Howth Marina is three minutes walk. Enjoy a gentle stroll on the Pier before breakfast or a more energetic hike on the unspoilt Cliff Path and the trails of Howth Head. For business, shopping or sightseeing, Dublin City is only 25 minutes by Dart. Dublin Airport 25 minutes. ... more   less
