We hadn't been to Ireland before and couldn't have picked a better location. It's beautiful and relaxing and the hosts Jackie and Jonathan who took over from the previous German lady some time ago are very welcoming and helpful. Check out their guest book in the cottage for suggestions as to where to go locally, it's all good.

We stayed in the Garden Chalet at Rock Cottage and had a great time!! The cottage is super cute and has it's own outside seating area, adjacent to a paddock with 2 adorable and friendly donkeys who love carrots! Jackie and Jonathan were very welcoming and we loved meeting the animals and people in and around the property. There are...

We stayed at Rock Cottage from May 29 - June 4 2016. The accommodation is excellent. Everything that you need in the kitchen, very comfortable bed and superb shower. What more could you wish for? Well good weather would be nice and we were truly blessed with glorious uninterrupted sunshine for the whole week. Not sure if Jackie and Jonathan,...

We stayed in the main Rock Cottage for a week in April and it was excellent. The accommodation sits in a rural location, but is ideally situated to explore SW Cork. We visited many places, with Killarney National Park, Garinish Island (beautiful Italian gardens), and the coastal towns of Baltimore and Kinsale just a few highlights. Rock Cottage is very...

So pretty on the outside and cosy and comfortable inside - surrounded by a lovely garden and walking areas. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and we loved every minute, even in the pouring rain! Very well situated for exploring the Mizzen and Sheep's Head Peninsulars, and for great places to eat and drink. Perfect for a couple, and...

Rock cottage is a dream of a place to stay. It's location is peaceful and the cottage itself is immaculate and comfortable - a home from home. The surrounding countryside is ideal for relaxing or walking. The nearest shop/pub is ten minutes away and there are some great views of the Atlantic but you need a car. The cottage is...

Spent a week here during one of those mixed weather summer weeks we have in Ireland which did not matter at all as this house is a joy to stay in. Although it is a short distance from Schull I can say that it was not a problem at all, in fact I would not have it any other way....

We spent 5 days at Rock Cottage last Easter. The weather was terrible so the accommodations were really put to the test. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with the place and the hostess! The Cottage is beautiful, stocked with everything you might possibly need, and very comfortable. The estate and the surroundings where quite spectacular, and provided an excellent...

just spent a week here. we loved it. our host, Jacqueline Sarsfield, was wonderful. This is a self catering cottage, (bedding and towels are provided), and has a kitchen, so money can be saved if desired, by cooking some meals. The fireplace was nice. we used it every night. this is a great location to explore Mizen head, sheeps head,...

We Had a fun time, small & sweet but well equiped. The stairs were wider than expected. Ideal touring base, waterford crystal do a wonderful tour. We enjoyed our visits to Kilkenny plenty of parking. Dinos in Thomastown make the most fantastic pizzas.
