Stayed two nights here.Location of this place is perfect, right in the middle of Cobh. The room was big and bright but the bed was two singles pushed together to make a double and not comfortable. No breakfast included or available in the bistro.Entrance is a very unattractive and awkward steel side door.A bit overpriced for what you get.

Loved the location. But very disappointed that the bed had no bed pad on it, just a raw mattress with a sheet. So it stunk bad of body odor. There was hair all over the bed, so I didn't feel it was cleaned very well. Good thing I brought my own pillowcase for this place! The shower leaked outside of... More

The hotel is well located on a central square in Cobh. The rooms are located above the Bistro but the entry is through a forbidding, large steel door round the back of the bistro in a rather rundown street. The room was OK, clean but lacked air conditioning or wifi. The small window opened onto a fire escape at the... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night during a roadtrip around the southwest coast. Gilbert's was a great first stop on our trip. Situated in a very central location, with parking right outside, the room was simple but clean and the staff very accommodating. The double room had a large four-poster bed which was very comfortable and the... More

We had a great front room over looking the square, Very spacious & tastefully decorated & with a modern wet room .We liked it as it was self contained, Great value too, we brought our breakfast in the recommended cafe in the next square a very short walk away.Parking was easy in the next street or a free public car... Stayed in a lovely bright spacious room on the first floor of the building. Nicely decorated & had all the usual tea making facilities etc. & an iron too. Cute lampshades by the bed & also quirky chairs. Very central to Cobh town as its located on the square. Fine big shower area! It says free wifi but we were... More
