A former nursing home, Sleepy Camel is on the bigger end of of hostels but still retains a really friendly, homey atmosphere. Price for the twin room was 22 quid each or exactly what we paid in all other hostels, give or take a euro, around the Ring of Kerry. The beds were grand, the sink in the room clean...

All members of staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. The room was very nice and comfortable with a great ensuite shower and the communal facilities were great - very clean, plenty of cooking equipment etc. The location within the town was spot on. Would highly recommend staying here :-)
