Detailed Reviews
When I read the reviews, I thought no one could be that good. Was I wrong. Mary took the time to treat you like family. She took pride in her work and home. Breakfast was excellent with good choices. If you're driving the Ring of Kerry, this is a good starting point going counter clockwise, you miss the Killarney crowd (buses). The location was a lot quieter than a hotel next to a pub, and a lot cheaper.
If driving be sure to approach from N70 the country roads are narrow

We stayed for just one night but had the most lovely stay here. Mary made us feel quite welcome. She had fresh scones and tea ready for us upon our arrival. Breakfast in the morning was the best breakfast we had during our stay. I have read other reviews raving about her fruit salad and I have to rave about it too.
Bedrooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. It wasn't cool enough for a fire but I did note that there were peat bricks ready for the fireplace. It is a farmhouse so expect to have animals around. The rooster woke me up and the sheep had to add to the noise too. But it wasn't bothersome at all - it just added to the charm of this wonderful B&B.

Mary Foley operates this B&B and knows how to make you feel very comfortable. Upon arrival there is the offer of coffee or tea and an invitation to sit in the comfortable parlor room. Take your own wine or mix up a cocktail- Mary is more than willing to supply the ice which, is quite important to us Americans. If it's evening wait a few minutes and she will arrive with an offer to light the fireplace. Take her up on this offer- it will turn a wonderful day into a wonderful evening.
We stayed three days at this B&B and hated to leave.

We were in Killorglin, hoping to find my husband's relatives in nearby Tullig, which wasn't easy. Mary was so helpful in our search, not to mention how gracious and lovely she was as a hostess. We felt right at home with her. We've been in Ireland four times now and when we first visited, B&Bs were defined by the host or hostess. On this trip, Mary was the only hostess that was personable and present. The others were run like a business and once you checked in, you were on your own. Not so with Mary. And her breakfasts were just the best. Thanks, Mary, for your great hospitality.

Warm hospitality in an rural and unique setting with sheep, dairy cows, cat & rabbit made us feel so comfortable, peaceful and at home. The home and rooms have everything you need and are so inviting. The food is delicious and the propriator, Mrs Foley is so cheerful and accomodating.
This was our first stay at a farmhouse B&B and we will always prefer it to urban settings now. The approach by Milltown at night is an adventure reminding us of THE SECRET GARDEN Story and demands perserverance following welcome signs.
Enjoy! We did.

I first stayed with Mary in 2005 and just had to return again with my wife in 2012. The view across to the mountain range is magnificent and this is an excellent jump-off point for a drive around the Dingle Peninsula. Hidden away from the main roads, but well sign posted, this is real Kerry countryside and farm life. Mary has the best bedlinen of all the B&Bs we stayed at in Ireland. Do you self a favour - stay more than 2 nights.

This B&B will make all others pale in comparison. There are so many homey touches to make it comfortable, like a second hand basin outside the bathroom and an extra heater in the shower area. The beds were very comfortable. The food, selected from a menu, was excellent--especially the eggs fresh from the farm. The room and all linens were clean and fresh. There is an inviting, spacious guest lounge. The hostess was exceptional--friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dromin Farmhouse to anyone. Staying there was a treat I'd love to enjoy again and again.

Mary is very nice and welcoming, and her fruit salad is the best ever.
Though, accomodation is way less comfortable than in other equivalent B&Bs in Ireland.
The main problem is that the bathroom is "partitioned" , kind of French-style, with the sink by the bed and the toilet+shower in a separate room. We were not used to it and it's not the top from a hygienic point of view.
The farmhouse is a couple of miles away from the village, this means you have to drive and it can get crowded if you're going there for King Goat's celebration.
Remember to bring cash: even if we are in the 21st century, they do not accept credit/debit cards - and the closest ATM is a 10-minute drive.

We have stayed at B and B's all over the world and this one makes our top 10 list easily. Mary could show a lot of operators how to do it right. Warm and welcoming, views to die for, helpful advice, accommodating, great sized room etc, etc. I endorse everything said in the other reviews. We will recommend Dromin Farm and will stay here again when we win the Lotto and return!
