Spent 3 nights and loved every minute of it. Great location, beautiful accommodation and wonderful hosts. Grove Lodge is more like a small boutique hotel and offers everything a traveller requires. Spacious rooms, a sitting area, lovely garden and views of the river. Breakfast was...More
Stayed here a number of times over the past 15 years. Comfortable rooms in a great location but the icing on the cake is the hosts. Delia and Fergus are perfect hosts, always friendly, chatty and helpful; nothing is too much trouble for them. The...More

A wonderful, calm repose with lovely flowers in the garden by the river. We had an en-suite room with a double and a single bed - cozy and comfortable. A delicious breakfast is available with many options. Great hosts.

Good morning -in answer to your question-yes it would probably take about 15 minutes depending on your walking pace. However it would be along a long straight and largely, unlit road. Car is much easier or taxi. Again it's your decision but the place is a wonderful guest house with charming hosts and great breakfasts. Above all I found it great value for money and a perfect place to tour the area. Cheers, Andy
