This is a comfortable small, reasonably priced hotel that is clean, well-maintained and good value for money. It is a useful spot to stay for two or three nights if staying in this part of Kerry and accommodation in other places such as Killarney is scarce or too expensive. The staff are professional, courteous and helpful. It is proprietor-run, so there is a homely feel to it. The food in the restaurant is of a high standard and reasonably priced, and the breakfast is hearty. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the beds are comfortable.

Our party of 6 were staying in a fairly remote location in nearby Dromstabla, but unable to get taxis to a pre-booked restaurant in Glenbeigh, so last minute call to the Bianconi, not only sourced us a taxi to accommodate the 6 of us, there and back, but also a table reservation.

We arrived a little early, than planned and was greeted by Rory, who seemed to know it was us before a word was uttered, as he guessed correctly who we were, and invited us to to sit at the bar, have a few drinks, peruse the menus at our leisure while they sorted the table.

in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, with an eclectic art work on the walls (we were later to learn many by a locally famous artist) we sat, talked and enjoyed our time.

When the table was ready, we were led to a spacious gathering, and treated to great service, which complement the high quality of the food.

We all have different meals, each one was beautifully served (and hot!) while
Rory attended to our needs, without being over bearing.

He was a perfect host, with the right blend of Irish charm and wit, and not only gave advice on the food, he acted as a local tourist guide and historian, explaining the history of the hotel and a seemingly art critic, as he went on to inform us about the local [English] artist who had taken residency in KILLORGLIN some 50 years earlier.

A man on many talents!!

As a night out with friends goes, I cannot rate this highly enough.
A real gem in a local Irish town in Kerry.

The food, service and hospitality was excellent; they would hold their own in any major city.

If you are ever in the South West of Kerry, you will find it hard to beat a restaurant of this calibre. From the chef to the Manager, they clearly all work very hard to cater for their patrons needs.

I plan to be back in Kerry next year and will definitely have The Bianconi in our sights and will ensure our plans find us near KILLORGLIN to make another visit to this wonderful hotel.

The Bianconi is a really great place to stay in Killorglin.

Rooms are always comfortable and warm, while the bathrooms are very clean.

Breakfast has plenty of choice and a wide range of tasty and tempting cooked options.

Dinner - well that's a treat in itself, and a highlight of my visits!! The food is simply fabulous, no matter what you choose from the extensive menu. The fish dishes are full of flavour, while the steaks are top notch and are on a par with the best steakhouses in the country. There is always a lovely, quality wine to go with your food choices.

Of course, all of the above is made possible by excellent staff, both front and back of house. Service at the Bianconi is always friendly and efficient, done with a smile and a little chat. It's so nice to be welcomed back each time.

Well done Hazel and team - just keep doing what you are doing because, without a shadow of a doubt, you are doing it right!

We can't say enough about The Bianconi - it was absolutely amazing. We decided to book it spontaneously, not sure what to anticipate, but it surpassed all of our expectations. The evening meal was like dining at a 5-star restaurant, and the dessert was a highlight for me. The room was charming, complete with a Victorian-style bath. The breakfast had a good choice and was delicious. However, the standout feature was the staff - they were incredibly hospitable and friendly. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area, whether you want food, somewhere to stay or both.

We booked multiple rooms for our senior men’s basketball team for the Saturday 14th Dec 2024. 20 people.
The hotel is perfectly located in the town with easy parking nearby. The lunch and breakfast were excellent. The accommodation was perfect. Warm and friendly with great flexibility and personal care from Hazel and her team with regard to checking in and out. The bar is lovely and the Guinness was spot on given we were celebrating our win that evening. Many thanks to Hazel and team.

We stayed at The Bianconi for two nights last weekend and cannot recommend the place highly enough. The Bianconi is family owned and managed and it shows in a very positive way. We received a warm Kerry welcome on our arrival. The bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated. Beds were so so comfortable. Bathroom excellently fitted out, big bath, great shower. The place is spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was fabulous, great selection of fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices. They served their own homemade brown bread which was delicious and homemade scones, so fresh and tasty. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is free car park just across the road. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Kerry. Well done all at The Bianconi.

“A stay a the beautiful Biaconi in Killorglin feels like a warm hug. We ,a group of 23 Danish guest, and me as Theis guide, was welcomed by Hazel,Tina and Aoife . They were so incredibly kind and made us feel at home right away.
We were shown to our beautiful rooms. All guests agreed that the beds was amazing. One from the group said next morning that she felt like a royal princess.
The food served is delicious and on a very high level, and there is plenty of it.
The staff helped us ,they sent over and beyond , from good ideas on where to go for traditional Irish music or hidden gems.
Me and my guest agreed on that we would come back any time , when the opportunity comes. Hope that Will be soon

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a short stay in the Bianconi Inn situated in the lovely County Kerry village of Kilorglin.
From the warm welcome from the owners Hazel and Ger Daley to our departure 4 days later we had the most enjoyable experience. Our room was of the highest standard, clean, warm and modern. The bed was extremely comfortable and resulted in extremely restful nights. The food was excellent from hearty breakfasts to extensive dinner and lunch menus. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Our overall experience was so satisfying and we could not recommend the Bianconi any higher yo pr

My family and I stayed in the bianconi to have a meal with our extended family and the team were so helpful. Hazel helped organise a set menu for the meal and always ensured our needs were met. The food was exceptional and the service from our waitress Aoife and all the bar staff was second to none. The portion sizes are very generous and you’re never left without a drink in your hand!

The bedrooms were modern and comfortable. At times it was noisy due to being located on a main road but this didn’t take away from our stay. We’ll be back again! Thanks to all in the Bianconi who made our stay extra special.

We checked in for 3 nights over Aug bank holiday weekend. First thing on checking in was the owner/manager (??) commenting "oh you've paid already that's great" but then "just double checking" before he handed us our key cards to go upstairs.
The room was beautiful, place was spotless - we overlooked a flat roof with a hum of ductwork but can live with that ! The food is amazing & service is excellent. The major issue is the noise - there's constant fans going, had to ring down to reception at 1am to ask guests using the guest lounge to keep noise down & I'm now writing this at 03.22am & there's singing, shouting & people walking up & down the floor above us 😭 Obviously another guest lounge (which is never a good idea when positioned outside someone else's bedroom !!)

It's a pity cos this place is lovely apart from the lack of any apparent management of noisy guests !!

Response from Ray Sheehy, Owner at The Bianconi
Responded 4 Aug 2020
Dear Denise, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I really appreciate your compliments on our food, service and cleanliness. i would like to however address the issues you have made. The manager that checked you in was merely confirming that you had paid in advance as we do with all our guests. it is part of our check in procedure. i do wish to apologize for the noise you experienced on that night. We had a group of guests who were particularly disruptive that evening. i can assure that this is not the norm for our premises. Both the owner and senior member of the bar team spoke to the noisy party several times and asked them to quieten down so i can assure you we didnt take the matter likely. in fact we spoke to them several times that evening. i do hope you return to us on another occasion as we pride oursleves on both a high standard of rooms and food but also guest hospitality. thank you
